evaluation, he holds, apart from the B.Com and B.L
degrees acquired through sheer dint of hard work and
character, the ‘H’ degree, obtained not from any fancy
University, but soulfully, that bespeaks character without
which lawyers are mere hirelings.
The real spotter of the talent who deserves the chorus
of our praise is Chief Minister Jayalalitha who, having
learnt from past experience not to plunk for cronies, had
the courage to decide on the right man for the right job in
her third innings on the throne. I raise my hat to you, Jaya!

Sir, - I am a resident of R. K. Flats, Jeevanandam Street, West K. K.
Nagar.
The sewage drain pipe laying work in Munisamy Salai near our street
was started in December last year.
To facilitate the work, the sewage pipes connected to the main from all
the residents/flats in our area was temporarily closed.
Because of this the overflowing sewage water let out into the stormwater
drain from some adjacent flats are contaminating our water supply owing
to seepage into our well as well as the Metrowater sump.
This has lead to severe health issues amongst our flat members. Even
after pursuing the matter with Sewage Board officials and Corporation
officials, no remedy measures have been taken so far.
We request the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to find

near Public Health Center
Sir, I am a resident of Arya Gowda Road, West Mambalam.
I read in Mambalam Times (Issue No. 38, dated Feb. 16) that bus
shelters have been erected for the bus stops on both sides of Dr. Nair
Road (T. Nagar).
Indian Bank and Postal Colony bus stops located close to Public
Health Centre do not have any shelter.
A number of parents visiting Public Health Center with their children
or newborns use these bus stops for commuting and are at present forced
to stand under the blazing sun.
I request the MTC officials to erect bus shelters at these stops for the
