GLIMCHER ANNOUNCES THE COMPLETED REDEVELOPMENT OF
THE OUTLET COLLECTIONTM | JERSEY GARDENS
Elizabeth, NJ—(October 30, 2013) — Glimcher Realty Trust (NYSE: GRT) today announced the
completed redevelopment of The Outlet Collection | Jersey Gardens, New Jersey’s largest outlet mall.
The grand reopening of The Outlet Collection | Jersey Gardens will be held on October 30th and will
showcase the center’s $30 million renovation. Weekend events for shoppers include swag bag
giveaways, prize drawings, free coupon books, social media contests, charity events, and other fun family
activities.
Inspired by famous luxury brands on New York City’s Fifth Avenue, The Outlet Collection | Jersey
Gardens’ stunning new look adds sleek contemporary lines, warm colors, glass and stainless steel railings,
and drop ceiling light fixtures. Newly redesigned restroom facilities, sustainable concourse furniture, and
a new dining emporium also add to the center’s appeal.
New tenants joining the center during the renovation include Coach, Coach Men, True Religion,
Calvin Klein Accessories, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Lego, and Century 21 Department Store. The
center’s tenant roster also includes key outlet brands like Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Neiman Marcus Last
Call, Lord & Taylor Outlet, and Nike Factory Store.
“Minutes from Newark International Airport and less than 30 minutes from New York City, The Outlet
Collection | Jersey Gardens has become the premier enclosed outlet mall in the Northeast,” said
Michael P. Glimcher, Chairman and CEO of Glimcher. “Through this renovation, we’re combining firstclass amenities, a luxury aesthetic, and premium brands, resulting in a new class of fashion outlet
shopping.”
“We are proud of our success during the last 15 years, and believe with the redevelopment and new tenant
mix, we are well positioned for continued success. We are also fortunate to have such a strong
partnership with the City of Elizabeth, which has been instrumental in our continued growth,” says
Denise Palazzo, general manager of the mall since its opening in 1999. The Outlet Collection | Jersey
Gardens employs 5,000 people and welcomes more than 18 million shoppers from every state and over
160 countries.
