Preparation Course
This course is designed to prepare teachers to take the ESL TExES 154 for ESL
Certification and to develop a core set of competencies needed to teach ELLs.
The following topics will be covered:
oLanguage Concepts and Language Acquisition
oESL Instruction and Assessments
oCultural Awareness
oFamily/Community Involvement
o Practice Questions for the TExES exam
Attendants will earn 12 ESL staff development credits and receive a study manual .
**Registering for the course will register you for both dates.
