Welcome to the NMCSU (Near & Middle Eastern Civilizations Student
Union) at the renowned University of Toronto. We strive to bring a strong
sense of community within the department, and to maintain a suitable
academic environment for the advancement of research and thought
within the NMC fields.
Throughout the school year we host lectures, with topics ranging from
Ancient Egypt to the modern political issues of the Middle East, social
functions, to get to know your department better, and movie nights, to
