SPEAKER BIO’S
Sara Clark, MLS, RHIA
Sara Clark is a manager in the Clifton Park office of Provider Consulting Solutions, Inc. Sara
has more than twenty years experience in healthcare. As the Health Information Management
Director of a multi-hospital regional network, she helped develop and implemented the
corporate medical records strategies for the four hospitals and a large multi-specialty physician
group. As a consultant, her expertise includes Medicare and New York State inpatient and
outpatient prospective payment systems. Using a team approach, she has implemented
clinical documentation improvement programs to help assure complete and accurate coding.
Ms. Clark has conducted extensive educational programs for physicians and other health care
professionals. She is an AHIMA certified ICD-10 trainer.
Matthew H. Lawney, M.S.P.T, M.B.A, C.H.C
Manager
Matthew Lawney is a manager at Provider Consulting Solutions, Inc., a healthcare
reimbursement-consulting firm with offices in Clifton Park, NY, Fort Montgomery, NY and New
York City. For over ten years, Matt has assisted healthcare industry clients with complex
financial and management issues. He is an expert in prospective payment reimbursement
methodologies and compliance including, outpatient (APC, APG), inpatient (DRG), Inpatient
Rehabilitation (IRF-PPS) and Inpatient Psych (IPF-PPS). Matt has helped numerous facilities
prepare for implementation of prospective payment systems and provides ongoing assistance
to clients in operational/coding reviews and education. He also has a strong background
working with therapy providers to address compliance, coding, billing and revenue cycle
issues.
Wayne Little, CPA
Wayne Little is a Director in KPMG’s Healthcare Advisory Practice in Atlanta. Wayne has over
19 years of management advisory and business experience exclusively with healthcare clients.
He has focused on operational performance improvement services including documentation,
coding, charging, billing and denials management related services. He has also been heavily
involved in regulatory compliance related services including serving as Independent Review
Organization and assisting clients with internal investigations, voluntary disclosures, statistical
sampling and specialized reimbursement matters.
Over the past year, Wayne has
concentrated on methodologies and strategies for ICD-10 preparation and remediation efforts
for healthcare clients.

Wayne Little, CPA (Con’t)
Wayne is a CPA in the State of Georgia. He has served as a faculty and panel speaker and
contributor for various healthcare regulatory compliance and industry focused forums and
seminars. He was co-author on the HFMA article entitled “The Right Moves for Success with
Medicare” published in HFM magazine’s June 2008 issue. He received a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia.
Joe Kuehn
Joe Kuehn is a Partner in KPMG’s Healthcare Advisory Practice in New York. Joe has over 27
years of experience providing business performance and planning services to his clients. He is
responsible for directing various finance transformation, operations improvement, strategic and
business planning, merger and acquisition engagements and is currently assisting clients with
various aspects of their Electronic Health Record and Meaningful Use assessments, as well as
ICD-10 assessments. He is also part of KPMG’s Healthcare Transformation steering
committee.
Joe is a Member, of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the AICPA
and is a CPA in the State of New York. He recently published and was an HFMA speaker on
the subject of “Leading Practices for Centralized Business Processes within Healthcare
Systems” in addition to a recent HFMA article entitled “Electronic Health Records and
Meaningful Use: What should it mean?”. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in
accounting from the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University where he graduated Summa
Cum Laude
Greg Krantz, Manager
Greg is Director of Product Marketing for MedeAnalytics’ Compliance and Revenue Integrity
Solution. Greg has extensive experience working with hospitals to implement workflow
technology and business intelligence applications that address the specific challenges that
chompliance officers face in an ever changing environment. Greg’s background also includes
over 10 years experience working with hospitals systems to improve revenue cycle operations
and financial outcomes. Greg is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association and is
a contributing author to the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Barbara Piascik, CHC, CHFP
Barbara serves as MedeAnalytics’ Chief Compliance Officer.
In her role, she assists
organizations in developing effective compliance programs focused on risk management,
audits, governmental audit response and corrective action plans. Barbara was formerly the
senior vice president/chief compliance officer at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers.
Barbara’s background also includes extensive experience in all aspects of the revenue cycle
process and IT implementations. Barbara is a member of the Health Care Compliance
Association and the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and she is certified with
both associations.
