For over fifteen years Mr. McCarron has dedicated his career to providing financial advisory
and management consulting services in the Seniors Housing & Care Industry, specializing in
corporate development, capital formation and turnaround management services in all sectors
of this industry. Mr. Lynch ‘s experience includes representation of local, regional and
national financiers, investors, purchasers, providers and sellers in the development, purchase
operation and sale of active adult communities, congregate care facilities, assisted living
facilities, skilled nursing facilities and CCRCs.

Seminar: “Rhythm of 3’s in MDS 3.0: Mastering Reimbursement, Clinical Performance, and
RAC Liability Management”
The Rhythm of 3’s relates to impact areas in MDS 3.0 in liability for audits by CMS and state
surveyors as well as end splits in your RUG that affect reimbursement. As an Administrator,
understanding these key triggers in the MDS and their inter relationships in (1) RAC Audits, (2)
State Survey, and (3) RUG Reimbursement is essential to a centers financial and clinical health.
Mastering this understanding will give vision to your team and keep you ahead of state and RAC
auditors as well as your competition in your clinical care and overall reimbursement
management.
Speaker: Jackie Rougeau PT, Landview Therapy Services
Ms. Rougeau has over 15 years experience in the Long Term Care Industry. She has been a
successful owner of Rehabilitation consulting business since 1999. Her extensive
understanding of “managing beyond” the RUGS and strategic operational skills has led to
exceeding competitors in both clinical and financial outcomes.
At Landmark she serves as Vice President of Landview Therapy Services providing therapy
management and rehabilitation programming for a diverse client base. Ms. Rougeau holds a
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Women’s University – Houston.

Health reform (Affordable Care Acts – ACA) will have significant impacts on virtually every
sector in health care. Outside hospitals, among providers such as SNFs, IRFs, LTACHs, HHAs
and pharmacy most changes will be indirect, yet significant. Moreover, details of the ACA are
still pending, leaving many of us guessing about the final shape of the implementation. What
can we do to prepare? Will ACA impact on how we secure leads? This program will focus on
how to position your services as winner in the post reform marketplace.
Speaker: Irving Stackpole, RRT, MEd – Stackpole & Associates, Inc.
Irving has worked in the field of healthcare, retirement living and human services for over
thirty years. He is a respiratory therapist and a past president of the American Respiratory
Therapy Foundation, and an industry representative working with Federal agencies to write
US reimbursement and licensing guidelines.
