COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA FOR MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2015 AT 7:30 P.M.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
Members of the public are welcome at City Council meetings and may address the Council. To have a specific matter placed on the meeting agenda, a member of the
public requesting an addition to the agenda should contact the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the Council meeting and provide the City Clerk with sufficient
information to allow the City Clerk to determine the nature of the agenda item. The Council requests that members of the public avoid repetitive appearances before the
Council with the same issue. Comments should be limited to approximately five (5) minutes. Groups who wish to address the Council on the same or similar issues
should select a spokesman to present the concerns of the group members.
CORRESPONDENCE
Mayor Spencer will present a Proclamation in Honor of Our Local, Community-Owned Natural Gas Utility proclaiming October 4-10,
2015 as Public Natural Gas Week. Please see attachment.
COMMISSIONER HICKS
1. Kim Kellerman and Tricia Chandler requests the City cooperation with the 3 rd Annual Chris Harvey 5K run/Walk and
permission for the event to be held November 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Please see attachment.
2. The American Thresherman Association Inc. (ATA) request permission to close Ballpark Road on Wednesday, October 14,
2015 during the October ATA show and reopen it on Monday, October 19, 2015. Please see attachment.
3. Approval for collection of funds by the Pinckneyville Junior Baseball/ Softball League to be used for improvements to the
ball fields. They wish to collect funds on August 20, 2016 at the 4-way stop and intersections around the square. Please see
attachment.
4. Request by Delta Theta Tau for approval to collect funds for the Scholarship fund on October 10, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to
noon at the 4-way stop and intersections around the square. Please see attachment.

COMMISSIONER STONE
1. Approval to purchase a new air conditioner/furnace unit for the Water Treatment Plant #1. A quote of $5,550 has been
received from Jim Brand of J.C.’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration for a complete new unit with installation/filter and
rack. Please see attachment.
2. Approval to purchase a new phone system for utility department facilities. The cost is $5,376.00 from CTS Technology
Solutions. The monthly maintenance agreement was questioned at last meeting and after discussion found it to be $54.00 per
month.
3. Purchase fence from Terrace Fence Co. at a cost of $1,806.84. The baseball/softball league will install along with the
previously discussed fence at $1,468.00. Please see attachment.
4. Approval to purchase a 2016 F250 2 x 4 truck from Vogler Motor Company. Cost for the vehicle is quoted as $18,892.

5. Executive session: Section 2 (c)(6) Setting of a price for the sale or lease of property owned by the public body.
