Former FOX Music studio head named producer
on star-studded film score documentary
‘SCORE’ continues to build upon strong Kickstarter campaign
LOS ANGELES — With more than 140% of SCORE: A Film Music Documentary’s
funding goal raised at the midpoint of its 30-day crowdfunding campaign, the project
welcomes as its newest producer Robert Kraft of Kraftbox Entertainment and the former
President of Fox Music.
Kraft, also a Grammy-nominated composer, brings decades of industry insight and
experience to SCORE’s Emmy Award-winning production team, including that of his 18year tenure as chief executive of Fox Music.
SCORE is proud to announce his involvement on a film that hopes to position itself as
the definitive film on Hollywood film composers — a project that already includes
household names such as Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, John Powell, Leonard Maltin
and Garry Marshall.
Kraft will to bring to SCORE the same brilliance that helped capture more than a dozen
iconic, record-breaking scores and soundtracks at Fox, from films including ”Avatar,”
“Titanic,” “Moulin Rouge,” “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Life of Pi.” Kraft supervised the
music for 20th Century Fox Television hits such as “Family Guy,” “Ally McBeal,” “XFiles,” “24” and “The Simpsons.” Under his leadership, Fox Music garnered 11
Academy Award nominations for Best Score and/or Best Song (winning four Academy
Awards), 20 Golden Globe nominations (including five Golden Globe Awards), 61
Emmy nominations (11 awards) and 50 Grammy nominations (winning 14 awards).
As a songwriter, Kraft has earned nominations for an Academy Award, a Grammy
Award, and two Golden Globes — and co-produced all of the Oscar- and Grammy
Award-winning songs on the multi-platinum soundtrack, “The Little Mermaid,” including
the Academy Award-winning song, “Under The Sea.”
Kraft was elected to the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences’ Board of
Governors, Los Angeles Chapter and is a member of the Music Branch of the Academy
of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and he is Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee of
the Harvard Office for The Arts. He has lectured on film music at Harvard, Stanford,
Brown, NYU, UCLA, USC and Syracuse. In 2012, he was appointed the Visiting
Professor of Music and Media to the Berklee College of Music’s International Campus in
Valencia, Spain. In 2013, Kraft was brought in to Warner Bros. Records as the
Soundtrack Consultant for the label.
As of March 3, SCORE has received crowdfunding support from backers in 41
countries, and has topped Kickstarter’s ‘most popular documentaries’ list, earning a
place an a Staff Pick on the site. The public can watch the official trailer for SCORE: A
Film Music Documentary until March 16 at score-movie.com.
