OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure that Green Estate remains a profitable and effective business by taking a
motivational and hands on lead on key commercial functions
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Pictorial Meadows Sales and Marketing
 To be the main driver in sustaining and growing national and international sales of
Pictorial Meadow seed
 To be responsible for producing and delivering all annual marketing needs for the
company
 To set with the Director financial targets and oversee successful delivery of sales
targets
 To ensure that the product remains a brand leader with a high reputation for quality
and customer relations
 To act as one of the key public faces of the company with buyers potential buyers
and key clients
 To manage a small sales, marketing and order processing team
 To administer the PM Company Website and on line shop
Green Estate Sales, Marketing and Business Development

To provide a strong support role to the CEO and Section Managers for all aspects
of enhancing GE’s commercial performance.

To ensure that the Companies central marketing material including Web site,
brochures and display material is managed and updated where necessary

To provide a managerial presence in the office

To help to increase income generating capacity and raise awareness of Green
Estate and it’s activities
Operational Management Responsibilities
 To ensure smooth and cost effective running of all core services through the staff
team and through contract arrangements including purchasing, telecommunications, IT, security, reception, premises and facilities management
 To undertake periodic reviews of core services and recommend changes that will
improve efficiency and quality of the overall work environment
 To support other Senior Managers to develop management systems across the
Company that are relevant to operational staff needs and that will help them to
carry out their work effectively and in a conducive environment
Staff and Line Management Responsibilities

To provide a strategic lead in setting standards, image and attitudes that are
distinctly people focussed both within the Core Services Team as well as
amongst the wider staff team.

To provide effective Line Management for Core Service Staff ensuring that they
meet their individual and team targets

To provide a facilitated office environment for staff, trainees, volunteers and
tenants so that they feel part of the overall organisation

To ensure each member of the staff team is encouraged to reach their full
potential through training and personal development

To assist the Core Services Staff team with customer enquires and promoting
services.
Other tasks

Undertake any other duties, as requested by your line manager, commensurate
with the level of the post and the aims of Green Estate Ltd.
JOB SPECIFICATION
This post is to provide a lead manager who will work closely with other managers and
coordinate the small team of in house staff responsible for sales, order processing,
finance, administration, facilities management, and reception. The role combines the need
to be a motivational team leader with an eye for detail and procedure. Capable of
communicating in many different ways and developing profitable relationships with a
network of existing and new suppliers, contractors, customers, and stakeholders. A
confident and flexible approach to dealing with others and an organised method of working
are required to meet user’s needs and to keep an eye on the bigger picture
DETAILS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary:
£30,586 p.a.
Pension:
Entry to the Company’s stakeholder pension scheme is available
immediately, with an entitlement to a 5% employer’s contribution
after a twelve month probationary period (subject to change with
new auto enrolment regulations).
Working Hours:
The working week for this post is 37.5 hours, exclusive of lunch
breaks. Occasional evening, weekend and away from home work
will be required for which a time off in lieu system operates. There
is room for negotiation should a candidate prefer a part time role.
Location:
The post is based at Green Estate Head Office, Sheffield Manor
Lodge site, 389 Manor Lane, Sheffield S2 1UL. Attendance at other
offices/ sites may also be required on occasion.
Probationary Period:
The post holder will be required to undertake a period of probation
for 6 month, in which they will be expected to establish their
suitability for the post.
Annual Leave:
31 days holiday per annum (includes all Bank holidays).
Length of Contract:
Permanent subject to funding.
Transport provision:
Mileage allowance @ 40p per mile and use of pool vehicles when
needed.
DBS Disclosure:
This post requires an enhanced DBS Disclosure

THE SELECTION PROCESS
The interview panel is responsible for the selection process.
A selection schedule is determined in advance so that recruitment may proceed in a
timely manner. Key dates are identified for the receipt of application forms (the closing
date), the selection of applicants for interview (short listing) and interviews.
The interview panel meet shortly after the closing date to study the returned application
forms and compile a shortlist of applicants.
The closing date for receipt of application forms is 5pm on the 5th January 2015.

The interview panel compare the information provided on the application form to the
requirements of the job, as listed in the person specification. The most suitable
applicants (those who meet all or most of the requirements) are invited to attend an
interview.
