David is a partner in the Houston office of Ernst & Young and has over 17 years experience in state and local tax
matters. David’s industry experience includes, Engineering and Construction, Chemicals, Refining, Oil & Gas
Exploration and Production, Oilfield Service and Retail.
David has significant experience with multistate tax minimization studies and corporate reorganizations for
public and private companies. His experience also includes analysis of state tax ramifications of significant
corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and divestitures as well as the identification of various
state tax credits and management of state audits, appeals and ruling requests.
David has a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Tennessee Technological University and a
Masters of Accountancy degree with a tax emphasis from the University of Tennessee.
