ROBO SOCCER Rulebook
You think that soccer is a game only for humans isn’t it so, then we are gone just change the
way you think because in the reincarnation of robots you gone see robots reincarnated to
play soccer better than humans .The reason for the same is they machines they commit
least mistakes they are designed to kill they just are just designed to win the game because
they are the best.
In this two team will participate in an arena with their robots. They have to guide their
robots in taking the ball to the nets as in real soccer games.
Within the time limit whichever team makes more goals will be the winner.
Event Format:
Round 1: In this round the robots will be divided into




Teams and will have to play soccer with the other team.
The robots will have to exchange places after each half time.
The team which hits maximum goals will selected for the second round.
If both the team not achieved any goal then both the team are disqualified from
event.
Round 2: This is knock out round in which the bots go head to head with each other.
The bot which scores the maximum number of goals will be the winner.
First 12 maximum scorer team are qualified to the third round.
Round 3: The duration of each match will be 5 min. (i.e. two halves per of min.)
Rules and penalties:

The dimension of the arena may be up to 8 x 4 feet (l x b)
The robot’s size should not excide more than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm (l x b x h)
Team without robots will be provided with robots , with a charge of Rs 50/- extra
The bots of a team should not enter the opposing team’s D line while hitting penalty.
No holding mechanism allowed
The ball pushing mechanism will be provided for the team
Each penalty shootout will be given 10 second time.
Introduction:-
It is a football tournament between manual bots. It is a very popular event which attract
a large and enthusiastic crowd that can rival Stamford Bridge. The goal of the event is
simple and straightforward –DGE AND score!
Task:
Design and construct a remote controlled robot capable to match with other robot as well
known football.
Specifications:
Dimension and Fabrications
1) The machine should fit within a box of dimension 35 x 30 x 30 cm(maximum size).
The external device used to control the machine such as remote control box or DC
converter is not included in the size constraint.
2) The machine should not weight more than 3 KG.
3) Both wireless and wired machines are not allowed.
4) Use of readymade toys is not allowed, but one can use the readymade circuits.
5) Chemicals, compressed gases and rockets, fuels, combustion power methods, etc.
are strictly prohibited. However commercial batteries like dry cell and lead acid can
be used.
6) Robot should be manually controlled.
7) No weapons (blades, spikes) of any kind are to be attached onto the robot.
8) The participants are allowed to use any number of actuators.
Battery and power
1) The machine can be powered electrically only. Use of an IC engine in any
form is not allowed. On board Batteries must be sealed, immobilizedelectrolyte types (such as gel cells, lithium, NiCad, NiMH, or dry cells).
2) The electric voltage between 2 points anywhere in the machine should not be
more than 12 V DC at any point of time.
3) All efforts must be made to protect battery terminals from a direct short and
causing a battery fire, failure to do so will cause direct disqualification.
4) Use of damaged, non-leak proof batteries may lead to disqualification.
5) Special care should be taken to protect the on-board batteries.
6) Change of battery will be allowed during the match.
7) Use of heavy equipments like compressors is banned.
Rules:
1. The duration of each match will be 3 min. (i.e. two halves, each of 1.5 minutes
duration).A 30 seconds break will be given after half time during which the teams
will be allowed to attend to their robots.
2. Each match will be a one-on-one match between two different teams selected
randomly.
3. For each normal goal 20 points will be awarded.
4. For each fowl 10 points will be detected and robot will be placed at the starting
point.
5. For golden goal 50 points will be awarded.
6. If any team touches the golden ball directly then 30 points will be deducted.
7. The team with highest points selected for the next round
Safety Rules:
Compliance with all events rules is mandatory. It is expected that competitors stay
within the rules and procedures of their own accord and do not require constant
policing
1. The machine you build would be first checked for size and safety.
2. The machine should not cause electrical power breakdown.
3. The robot must not contain any combustible, corrosive, or otherwise dangerous
materials.
4. No explosive, compressive or expansive, either internal or external is permitted.
ANY ROBOT WHOSE STRATEGY OR OPERATION IS CONSIDERED DANGEROUS CAN
BE DISQUALIFIED BY THE JUDGES AT THEIR DISCRETION.
Team specification College teams: A team may consist of a maximum of 3 participants.
EVENT FEES: Rs. 300/- team
Robot will be provided of use at time of competition at Rs. 50/- only.
