FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
- Vehicle Accident with Extrication SANTA BARBARA, Ca. November 26, 2013 – At 1:15pm, Santa Barbara County Fire
Department (SBC FD) responded to a vehicle accident, located at Hollister Avenue and
Magna Vista, across from San Marcos High School.
SBC FD responded one engine, a ladder truck and a battalion Chief to scene. SBCFD
was assisted by American Medical Response and the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found three vehicles involved. There were a total of
two patients: one with minor injuries and one with moderate injuries. One of the patients
was trapped inside one of the vehicles and required a fifteen minute extrication. One east
bound lane of Hollister was closed during the accident. Traffic was slowed in the area.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the CHP.
