Team Composition
All teams comprise 20 paddlers and a drummer and sweep (of either sex).
NB: DBNSW will provide an accredited sweep and drummer for all teams
School Teams – Equal number of males and females
Entry Fees – inclusive of GST
Free for all schools
Note: In addition all paddlers must pay $6.00 per person Individual Insurance
(this will cover your for training and the actual event)

Note (a): In case of bad weather conditions an alternative area has been chosen. However if weather is really bad
and deemed unsafe for the paddlers then the Organisers reserve the right to cancel the event.

Conditions of Entry:
. abide by the race rules and requirements of the events organisers whose decision in all matters relating thereto and to the suitability and eligibility of
applicants is final and binding,
. every crew member is to be covered by personal accident insurance offered by DBNSW Inc or its equivalent.
. waiver any claim on the event organisers which may otherwise arise from personal injury or death and damage arising from or caused by participation
in the competition,
. reimburse the event organisers for any damages or losses caused by the entrant to equipment provided by the event organisers,
. utilise only equipment and fittings provided or required by the event organisers. Community Teams will be supplied with paddles.
Padding or gripping material is not permitted (wax is permitted).
.. DBNSW will also provide an Accredited sweep for all Community Crews participating
. all teams are to use an Accredited experienced sweep.,
. every member of the paddling team must be able to swim 50 metres or otherwise wear a buoyancy vest,
. any protests must be lodged in writing and accompanied by $200 cash protest fee within 10 minutes of completion of the protested race. The protest fee
is only refundable if the protest is successful.

Toilets available. Would suggest bringing tents for shade and own
food / water for the day.

Will be distributed on Monday 29th March to all teams.

4 x fibreglass DBNSW Inc boats
DBNSW will supply paddles to all teams
Personal accident cover can be provided upon request at $6.00 a
paddler for non-DBNSW Inc members.
Note: This is compulsory, otherwise paddlers must produce a copy
of their insurance covered by their copy.

Schools
Equal numbers of males and females (50/50)
DBNSW will supply an accredited sweep and drummer for each team
16 (Max 24 for Schools)
Sweeps responsible for crew safety and must be familiar with
DBNSW Inc safety guidelines.
Weak or non-swimmers MUST wear a life vest.
Sweeps must be DBNSW Accredited. An accredited sweep will be
supplied by DBNSW Inc upon request.
A Managers Briefing will be held prior to start of racing

Teams are responsible for the security of their valuables
All Clubs will be responsible for cleaning up their own area

If you would like your school to have a practise session prior to the
day, please contact Melanie Cantwell on 0418 480 731 to arrange.
Otherwise we will try and arrange a practise session for your school
prior to the start of the days activities.
Please remember Alcohol and water don’t mix. Any individual or
team caught drinking during the event, will have the entire team
disqualified.
The Sweeps have total control over the boat. Bad behaviour will not
be tolerated, any teams disobeying the rules or not doing what the
sweeps ask them to do will be disqualified.
