The benefit package includes:
- € 5821.00 monthly salary, tax-free in the host country.
- € 78.90 per day spent in the Theatre

(50% to be reimbursed if not completing two consecutive years of service).

PART II – CE DUTIES
Post Context:
The CJ6 Branch is responsible for the provision of NATO Information Systems
and Communications in Afghanistan to support the mission of the International
Security Assistance Force (ISAF). Depot 26 provides depot level supply and
maintenance for Communication Information Systems (CIS) under the NATO CIS
Services Agreement (NCSA), Joint Force Command Headquarters (JFC HQ)
Brunssum and ISAF HQ CJ6 guidance to meet Commander ISAF (COMISAF)
priorities of CIS supply, repair and asset distribution and to maintain property
accountability. The Chief Supply Operations/Property Accounting Officer is
responsible for the day to day operations of the NATO Communications Logistics
Depot 26 and the accounting of all ISAF owned CIS property within Depot 26
Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Controls, supervises and plans all depot level supply operations in an
autonomous manner in accordance with NCSA Operating and Support
Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensures that property is accounted for through the NATO Depot Support
System (NDSS) by establishing and maintaining accurate property accounts.
Establishes a property accountability quality assurance and quality
surveillance programme for ISAF to ensure property is accounted for as per
ISAF and NCSA procedures.
Applies all relevant ISAF SOPs.
Responsible for proper operation and management of the NDSS.
Ensures correct receipt, storage, issue, ordering and stock control of the
Depot inventory.
Responsible for managing local procurement in coordination with the
Configuration Manager, Information System Requirement (ISR) Manager and
CJ8 (Procurement and Contracting).
Plans, directs, coordinates and prioritises depot workload.
Provides primary liaison with NATO Communication and Information Systems
Services Agency (NCSA), NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA),
NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A), Property
Disposal Officer, NCSA CLD Brunssum and local contractors concerning
relevant supply matters.
Provides training as required for ISAF CIS Point of Contacts (CISPOC) within
the AOR.
Creates and maintains SOPs for Depot 26 operations.
Serves as the in theatre logistic subject matter expert to the ISAF Joint
Command (IJC) CJ6.
Responsible for the supervision, training and inter-theatre shipments in
support of depot operations and NATO supply distribution.
Travels to regional commands and CISPOC locations to resolve logistic issues
as required.
Additional Duties:

The incumbent may be required to perform other such related duties as directed.
Serves as logistic subject matter expert on ISAF boards, meetings or working
groups as required.

Essential Qualifications:
Professional / Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience with standard supply, maintenance and property
accounting systems.
Minimum 3 years experience in managing property accountability.
Minimum 3 years experience with warehouse operations.
Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership/supervisory position.

Either a Post Secondary Degree in Business Administration/Logistics Technical
Degree or equivalent on the job training/experience.

logistics concepts of operations in support of deployed operations.

Management, Maintenance Control Management System (MCMS), Property
Accounting Module (PAM).

Personal Attributes:

The ideal candidate will be a self-started individual who is able to work with little
guidance and supervision.
He/She must be proactive to maintain stocks for optimum support of operations
and he/she must be able to make decisions and possess good leadership
qualities.
Managerial Responsibilities:
-
Responsible for managing all complex aspects of depot operations to include
warehousing, stock management, local procurement, system administration,
receiving, issuing, disposal, property accounting and personnel.
Professional Contacts:
-
The successful candidate will be required to establish and maintain good working
relations with both military and civilian employees within the branch, customers
from within the ISAF theatre and civilians from outside support agencies.
Contribution to the Objectives:
-
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an efficient Depot in order
to provide expedient response to customer requests as well as maintaining an
accurate property inventory.
Work Environment:
-
High pressure, long work hours in a multinational and multicultural environment.
Current working conditions are very sub optimal in a building exposed to the
vagaries of the extreem Afghan weather.

These include a full medical pack, with supporting reports and signed off by a
doctor. In addition, confirmation is required that the candidate has been
issued/can obtain a valid NATO Secret security clearance; this can take some
time and should therefore be initiated upon being selected for further
consideration.
Initial 12 month contract with possible extensions
Because of the dynamic environment, ISAF Crisis Establishment posts are under
regular review and therefore job contents, including contract duration and
contractual grade may change during the contractual period.
