Improving Work Methods
Designed for people who spend a large proportion of time doing routine jobs. Often jobs
are done that way because that’s the way they have always been done. This event looks
at ways to evaluate which jobs could be done more efficiently. Then how to measure,
record and examine a piece of work. Followed by developing and implementing
improvements. This often results in significant savings in time, effort and cost.
Aims:
Participants will be better able to:
Describe the aim of tasks they are involved with and the standards that need to be
achieved
Use a systematic approach to planning jobs and monitoring progress
Identify tasks which would benefit from being replanned
Monitor and record a job using aspects of method study to suggest time cost or
effort saving
