“ROLL THE DICE”
ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETITION

The NGLCC is pleased to announce the third installment the "Roll the Dice" entrepreneurial competition
plenary—our own version of the ABC hit show Shark Tank—at the 2013 National Business & Leadership

This year’s “Roll The Dice” competition is a joint production between StartOut and NGLCC, and the
application process will be open to both Certified LGBTBEs and LGBT-owned StartOut members.
Participants in “Roll the Dice” will present on stage in front of the conference luncheon plenary audience on
Friday, August 2. Entrepreneurs from three companies will be selected to give their best 15-minute
presentations on their company, a new or existing product, market, or other innovation with the purpose of
gaining valuable feedback from an expert panel of angel investors, venture capitalists, and other business
experts. All participants have the potential to continue their dialogue with the judges and one winner will be
awarded a $10,000 cash prize on stage in Dallas.
Application Process: Participants must attend the 2013 National Business & Leadership Conference in Dallas
and be willing to be highlighted in various NGLCC communication vehicles.
If you are interested in participating as a “Roll the Dice” presenter, please complete the application form
below and return it to supplierdiversity@nglcc.org no later than FRIDAY, JULY 5. Selected participants will be
notified the following week.
Semi-finalists will be notified by Friday, July 12 and they will be asked to submit a brief video about
themselves and their company or product. Video submissions should be no later than Friday, July 19. Finalists
will be notified by July 23 and will compete during the conference closing plenary on Friday, August 2.
