I Have…Who Has Game: Slope and Y-Intercepts
Standards Addressed:
8-3.6 Identify the coordinates of the x- and y-intercepts of a linear equation from a
graph, equation, and/or table.
8-3.7 Identify the slope of a linear equation from a graph, equation, and/or table.
Materials:
One set of cards
Before class:
1. Make copies of cards on cardstock, laminate, and cut out.
2. Keep a copy in tact so you can follow along and check.
Directions:
1. Shuffle cards and distribute cards to the class. (All cards must be passed out, so
some students may have more than one card.)
2. The student with the star will read his/her problem on the card first.
3. Whoever has the answer to that problem reads his/her card next.
4. Play continues until every card is read, and it returns to the original player with
the star card.
