Dash Bus 208 threatened again!
Remember when we almost lost all bus service to Beachwood Village? The
Transportation Committee of the City of L.A. will meet this Monday, September 15,
2003 at 1PM to discuss whether or not to amend/extend two contracts that allow the Dash
Bus to serve Hollywood (including Beachwood Canyon’s 208).
You can help: If you can’t make the meeting which is downtown, please write a fax now
and fax it in to Tom LaBonge. He is on this Transportation Committee and needs to know
that his constituents value Dash 208.

The City Council will hear this issue on Tuesday and will most likely go along with
whatever determination that this committee makes. There is an obvious fiscal impact that
will be considered and you know how the budget crisis drives decisions these days. Your
voice is important! Please send a fax to your city councilman and, if inspired to do so, to
the other two on the committee.
