International Honor Society in Education
Alpha Gamma Chi Chapter at Binghamton University
The Graduate School of Education at Binghamton University is pleased that you are interested in
becoming a member of the Alpha Gamma Chi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor
Society in Education.
Acceptance to our chapter is based on several factors, including:
1. Outstanding academic achievement, evident by:
a) A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above,
b) 6 credit hours of graduate work at BU (either completed or in progress), and
c) 12 credit hours of education course work (completed at BU or another institute of
higher education, or in progress or currently registered at BU).
2. Full graduate standing at Binghamton University,
3. Potential or achieved educational leadership,
4. Exemplification of worthy educational ideals, and
5. Commitment to service to the chapter.
To be formally considered for membership, you must:
1. Complete the national application at https://bit.ly/kdp-C670-register and pay national dues
of $45 by Wednesday 1 April. If you are not accepted, national KDP will refund your $45.
2. Complete and submit the following paper application by: Wednesday 1 April at 5pm.
3. Submit a resume, including professional experience, and campus and community activities,
4. Submit a BU transcript with GPA and courses completed/enrolled (an unofficial one from
BU Brain is acceptable), and
5. If accepted,
a. Pay the Alpha Gamma Chi Chapter dues of $40 ($15- chapter dues, $14- honor cord,
and $11- installation fee; check made payable to Kappa Delta Pi- BU Foundation
#50438), and
b. Attend a mandatory Induction Ceremony, to be held: Sunday 19 April at 11am.
Your application (without a faculty member's or your signature), resume, and transcript should be
submitted electronically to Dr. Rozalski at rozalski@binghamton.edu. A hard copy of the
application, with signatures, should be submitted to the GSE Office by the due date indicated above.
If you are a current member of KDP (i.e., either you were inducted at another institution and your
national dues have been paid in the last year, or you are a lifetime member of KDP), and would like
to become a member of the Alpha Gamma Chi chapter or serve as an officer in our chapter, you
must complete the online national application form and the following form and submit dues of $40.
