Note cards and Bibliography cards:
Following the format given in class, you are to create 5 correctly formatted bibliography cards and 25
correctly documented note cards. Keep your bibliography packet and in class samples on hand for
this!
Sources:
5 sources for research are required: at least one book, at least one database, and the rest may be
whatever best fits your research. They must be reputable to qualify.
Written Response:
In MLA format, please write a one paragraph summary of your research. Be sure to include all major
points and save the details for your presentation. Also, write a one paragraph personal reflection on
your research. This should include what surprised you, how your research will influence the way you
view the world, how you will use this information in the future, connections, how you would change
your research procedures in the future, etc.
Bibliography Page:
This page will show the resources you used during research and will allow others to replicate your
research. This is simple as it is merely a one page MLA format sheet of your bib note cards.
Final Product:
You are entering a “competition” to get your research and the product thereof in a local history
museum. It is your job to create a product that represents the information you learned. It must be
accurate, informative, interactive, creative, and be able to be viewed and understood by an
independent museum attendee. Keep in mind what interests you when you visit museum exhibits.
You will have at least 5 visitors come and judge your product. The top two entries from each class
will be put in the 8th Grade “Day at the Museum” on _______________________.
