Twelfth Night Exam Review Sheet
Test: --130 points: January 18, 2013—
This along with the Shakespeare Notebook will be the final grades of
the 2nd quarter.
This will not be an open note test. In addition to writing your Twelfth Night
Poem/Song and finalizing your Shakespeare Book, your homework is to effectively
study for this test. There is no extra credit for the quarter! The Shakespeare
performance/project will be assigned at the end of the year as part of review.
Test Format:
I.
multiple choice/true-false/fill-in questions on: (90 points)
plot/character/setting
significant lines from the play
Elizabethan background/Shakespeare Background
comedic devices (this will involve excerpts from the text and definitions)
lines from the play to translate
II.
1 extended response question that will involve translating a scene and
writing a developed paragraph with transitional phrases. (40 points)
Items to Review (aka make index cards):
Notes on William Shakespeare and Elizabethan theatre
Notes on Elizabethan women, men, love and marriage
Study Guide Questions (including scene summaries)
Activities that accompany each scene
Scene Translations
Handout on the meaning of Twelfth Night
Comedic Terms/Devices
Open Note Quizzam and Elizabethan quiz
After you take the exam on Tuesday, please staple and then place all of your
Shakespeare material in Section 5 of your binder. We will be starting a brief unit
on speeches; this will begin on Wednesday January 18. You will keep all speech
material in your English binder!
After School Exam Review: Next Tuesday January 15
2:30-3:40 (You may attend all or part of the review)

January 18 and graded while you take the exam.

Points: 60 (exam grade)

Complete means that there are no blank spaces on any
page and effort was made to answer the
questions/activities thoroughly. If you were absent on
any day, it is your responsibility to make up the work.
