Responsible for managing simultaneous tax, finance, and billing initiatives as well as performing systems
analysis and design.
Current / past duties include:
• Project management duties including team leadership of both onshore and offshore resources;
requirements gathering from numerous stakeholders; project planning (resource estimates); schedule
and workplan maintenance; executive level status reports; and creation, collection, and distribution of
applicable project documents including project designs and traceability.
• Supporting and working closely with the sponsors of various IT initiatives including internal
tax/regulatory departments, internal & external billing interfaces, program management office, Public
Utility Commission, and various local, state, and federal agencies.
• Supporting numerous system decommission efforts including the retirement of legacy systems and
conversion and integration of accounts into the target systems.
• Creating and maintaining documentation focused on application functionality, audit support, and ad
hoc reporting requirements.
• Mainframe application design, coding, and maintenance of more than 1,000 components utilizing
COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, VSPLUS, SYNCSORT, SAS, etc.
• Creation and maintenance of a team website which provided corporate-wide visibility of our
application team, functionality, and current events. Additional features included task management
functionality which permitted team members and upper management to assign, view status of, and
update tasks including project assignments and time off requests.
