NOTIFICATION
Dated, Bhubaneswar the 3rd December, 2007
No. 6F(A) 4/07/(pt) 18973 /F&E., The Government of Orissa with an
objective of addressing all aspects of Bamboo Sector Development in the State
hereby designate the Orissa Bamboo Development Agency (OBDA) headed by
State Mission Director as a Nodal Agency for the State which will function
under the administrative control of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests,
Orissa.
The work load of W.F.P. is going to be reduced by the end of the financial
year due to non-availability of food grains. Therefore, Project Director, World
Food Programme Project is declared as State Mission Director of Orissa Bamboo
Development Agency to implement the Centrally sponsored schemes of National
Bamboo Mission (NBM) and National Mission on Bamboo Application (NMBA) in
addition to his present assignment. The State Mission Director shall coordinate
with all stake holders and utilize the existing budgetary and staff provision
available in the WFP Project for implementation of centrally sponsored
programme of NBM and NMBA. The post of Project Director, WFP is
redesignated as Project Director, WFP-cum-State Mission Director, Orissa
Bamboo Development Agency.
For the proper implementation of the programme in the forest as well as
in non-forest area, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Orissa is included in
the State Bamboo Steering Committee in addition to the existing members.
The previous notification no. 6F(A)4/07-1975/F&E dated 03.02.2007,
No.6F(A)4/07-1982/F&E dated 03.02.2007 and Resolution No. 6F (A) 4/20073902/F&E dated 12.03.2007 are modified accordingly.
