AP Chemistry at GHS
AP Chemistry should be taken by any student who plans on being a science major in
college. The course is taught by Mr. Owen. He has been with GHS since 1999, and
began teaching AP Chemistry in 2000.
Highlights of the program
1. We conduct 22 higher level labs
similar to the labs conducted in first
year college chemistry.
2. Since the program began in 2000, GHS
students have scored well on the national
examination earning one or even two
college chemistry credits.
3. Green High’s AP Chemistry scores are
consistently higher than the national average.
