We recommend the following persons be appointed, and where
applicable, subject to proof of an appropriate teaching certificate/license
as required by Section 3319.30 of the Ohio Revised Code on or before
his/her first work day of the school year and the Rules and Regulations
of the Hamilton City School District, including a drug screening and
receiving a criminal records check with no convictions:

Day School Teacher(s)
Jamie Alvord holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
psychology and sociology from Miami University and a master's
degree with a major in elementary education from NationalLouis University in Illinois. If approved, Jamie will be assigned
a fourth grade teaching position at Fairwood Elementary School.
Salary/Masters/Step 3, effective August 13, 2015
Stacey Banasik holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
psychology and business from Miami University and a master’s
degree with a major in special education from University of
Cincinnati. Stacy has also completed a reading endorsement
from Xavier University. If approved, she will be assigned an
intervention specialist teaching position at Hamilton High
School. Salary/Masters+30/Step 5, effective August 13, 2015
Megan Berter holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
montessori education which prepared her for Ohio licensure in
early childhood education from Xavier University. If approved,
Megan will be assigned a kindergarten teaching position at
Riverview Elementary School. Salary/Bachelor/Step 1, effective
August 13, 2015

Courtney Connor holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
journalism and political science from University of North
Carolina. Courtney completed additional coursework in
elementary education from Antioch University. If approved, she
will be assigned a fifth grade teaching position at Fairwood
Elementary School. Salary/150 hours/Step 3, effective August
13, 2015
Brandon Davidson holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
middle childhood education in the area of mathematics and
social studies from University of Dayton. If approved, Brandon
will be assigned a math teaching position at Garfield Middle
School. Salary/Bachelor/Step 1, effective August 13, 2015
Alexi Fisher holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
elementary education and social studies from Grand Valley State
University in Michigan. If approved, Alexi will be assigned a
third grade teaching position at Highland Elementary School.
Salary/Bachelor/Step 2, effective August 13, 2015
Desiree Gould holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
psychology from Xavier University and a master’s degree with a
major in industrial organizational psychology from University of
Akron. Desiree also holds a master’s degree with a major in
school counseling from Xavier University. If approved, she will
be assigned as a school counselor at Hamilton Freshman School.
Salary/Masters+30/Step 1/15 days extended time, effective
August 13, 2015
Lauren Helton holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in early
childhood education from Miami University. If approved,
Lauren will be assigned as a Title I intervention teacher at
Highland Elementary School. Salary/Bachelor/Step 1, effective
August 13, 2015
Jill Lipold holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
mild/moderate intervention from Notre Dame College. If
approved, Jill will be assigned as an early childhood intervention
specialist after completing the requirements for a supplemental
license. Salary/Bachelor/Step 1, effective August 1, 2015
Rebecca McCowan holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
mass communication from Anderson University in Indiana and a
master’s degree with a major in public administration from
Keller Graduate School of Management. Rebecca is completing
a doctoral program in organizational leadership from Grand
Canyon University. If approved, she will be assigned a business
teaching position at Wilson Middle School.

Shannon Reisbord holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
biological sciences and physics from University of Cincinnati
and a master’s degree with a major in special education from
Grand Canyon University. If approved, Shannon will be
assigned an intervention specialist teaching position at Garfield
Middle School. Salary/Masters/Step 8, effective August 13,
2015
Devon Rowe holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
secondary mathematics from Miami University. If approved,
Devon will be assigned a math teaching position at Juvenile
Detention/Rehabilitation Center. Salary/Bachelor/Step 4,
effective August 13, 2015
Larry Schellenberg holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
Spanish education and physical education and a master’s degree
with a major in school counseling from University of Dayton.
Larry also holds a master’s degree with a major in educational
leadership and administration from Indiana University. If
approved, he will be assigned a Spanish teaching position at
Hamilton High School. Salary/Masters+30/Step 10, effective
August 13, 2015
Julie Schwamberger holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
computer science education from Miami University. She is
completing a master’s degree with a major in organizational
leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. If approved, Julie
will be assigned a math teaching position at Hamilton High
School. Salary/Bachelor/Step 10, effective August 13, 2015
Joanna Stipp is being rehired after completing all requirements
for a five year professional school nurse license. If approved,
Joanna will be reassigned to the position of school nurse at
Bridgeport Elementary School. Salary/150 hours/Step 3,
effective August 13, 2015
Shelly Thatcher holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
communication disorders and a master’s degree with a major in
special education from University of Cincinnati. If approved,
Shelly will be assigned an intervention specialist teaching
position at Wilson Middle School. Salary/Masters/Step 3,
effective August 13, 2015
Samantha Wallace holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in
early childhood education from Miami University. If approved,
Samantha will be assigned a kindergarten teaching position at
Highland Elementary School. Salary/Bachelor/Step 3, effective
August 13, 2015
Jerri Warnock holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in early
childhood education from Miami University and a master’s

classroom management from American College of Education. If
approved, Jerri will be assigned a second grade teaching position

Whitney White holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in early
childhood education and psychology from University of
Cincinnati. If approved, Whitney will be assigned a second
grade teaching position at Riverview Elementary School.

We recommend the proposal with strategic HR inc. be approved. This
will be the organization that will review our job descriptions and create a
bank of test questions and answers for the Secretaries Union, Local 151.
