TINSELTOWN TATTLER…
ANGELINA JOLIE and BRAD PITT were secretly married last Saturday in
France. They obtained a marriage license from a California judge, who also
performed the ceremony. However, some question whether the ceremony was legal
since it was in France, but officiated by a California judge with a California
marriage license. In any case, the civil ceremony was attended by family and
friends at Provence's Chateau Miraval and their children took part in the wedding
as Angelina walked down the aisle with her eldest sons Maddox and Pax, while
Zahara and Vivienne threw flower petals and Shiloh and Knox served as ring
bearers. Among those not invited to the wedding was Angelina's father, Jon
Voight. They supposedly patched up their relationship a few years back, but he
found out about his daughter's wedding through the media like the rest of us. This
is the second marriage for Pitt, who married Jennifer Aniston in 2000. Angelina
was previously married to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
DWYANE WADE and GABRIELLE UNION apparently want a hush-hush
wedding like Brad and Angelina. The couple is reportedly forcing vendors, caterers
and even guests to sign a contract demanding they not talk about what they see that
day or else! According to the contract, violators will pay a hefty cash fine if they
violate the deal. The wedding is set for tomorrow in South Florida.
BRITNEY SPEARS is available as she and boyfriend David Lucado have split.
Britney tweeted her new relationship status by writing, "Ahhhh the single life!"
The dirt is that Britney called it quits after she found out about a video being
shopped to the tabloids showing him cheating on her. A source tells E! News, "She
is heartbroken…But she will get through it. She's a strong girl and he was never
right for her." However, TMZ called Lucado, whose rep said, "David is very, very
in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out."

JOAN RIVERS was rushed to New York’s Mt. Sinai hospital in cardiac arrest
yesterday. Rivers’ heart and breathing stopped while undergoing a procedure on
her vocal chords at a local clinic and was later listed in "stable but critical"
condition. Her daughter Melissa later said she was resting comfortably, but Joan’s
appearance tonight at the Count Basie Theatre in New Jersey has been postponed.
RAY J managed to cut himself a pretty sweet plea deal in his sexual battery and
assault case in Beverly Hills. That was the incident in which he allegedly went nuts
at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel back in May and grabbed a woman's breast, before
getting into a violent altercation with arresting officers and kicking out the window
of a patrol car. Ray J pleaded no contest to misdemeanor trespassing and all the
other charges will be dismissed. Under the plea deal, Ray will get three years’
probation, and will have to do 50 hours of community service, 12 anger
management counseling sessions and 12 alcohol therapy sessions.

BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN’S husband NICK GORDON was involved in a nasty
car accident in his Georgia neighborhood yesterday morning. Police say Gordon

popped for DUI and driving with a suspended license.
A pregnant MILA KUNIS got into a skirmish with the paparazzi while leaving her
Pilates class in Sherman Oaks, California this week. After spotting a photographer
taking shots of her from his car, she stormed over, leaned into his window and
accused him of breaking a stalking law. Mila asked him, “Why are you stalking
me? It’s illegal what you’re doing; you can’t stalk a woman and her child. There’s
a 30-foot law and you’re passing it. There’s a federal law you’re breaking.” The
photographer fired back that there is no such law and then alerted Mila to the other
photographers that had gathered to take photos of the confrontation. Mila asked the
photographer to get out of his car while she called the police and the video kept
rolling until 10 officers arrived, but there were no arrests.

MUSIC NOTES…
A book based on the track Outlaw Pete from BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN'S Working
on a Dream album will be out on November 4th. The book will feature
Springsteen's lyrics along with illustrations. Springsteen's song was itself inspired
by a children's book called Brave Cowboy Bill, which his mother used to read to
him at bedtime.
Martin Scorsese is attached to direct THE RAMONES biopic. Details are kind of
sketchy, but the co-manager of the Ramones' estate said, "Luckily, when you have
a really genius artist like the Ramones, you don’t have to spin it. It is what it is and
what it is is a beautiful moment in time that sparked a revolution in music and in
fashion." Along with the film, the estate is working on new apparel, remastered
music, a theatrical play and a book.
A sitcom based on the life of WEEZER frontman RIVERS CUOMO has been
picked up by the Fox network. The single camera show is described as a comingof-age story of a 30-something rock star who walks away from the spotlight at the

album of all-new material since Songs from Black Mountain in 2006 and the first
without former lead singer Ed Kowalczyk, who left in 2009.

Nick Cannon might not want MARIAH CAREY, but Caesars Palace in Las Vegas
apparently does. With Celine Dion departing due to her husband’s health issues,
Caesar’s is looking for a new headliner, or headliners, and Mariah is reportedly on

BLAKE SHELTON AND MIRANDA LAMBERT, PRINCE, and BRUCE
SPRINGSTEEN.
MARIAH CAREY is the ultimate pop star according to Time magazine. Looking
at every song that’s been in the Billboard Top 10 since 1960, they devised a
formula that factored in career longevity and number of hits to determine the top
pop star. While Mariah topped the list, Usher had the best single year in 2004 when
he placed five songs in the Top 10.

THE WATERCOOLER…
A Wyoming woman died a little after midnight yesterday at Nevada's Burning Man
festival after reportedly falling under a moving bus. The woman was pronounced
dead at the scene, but it’s not known whether drugs or alcohol played a role. It was
the first fatality in seven years at the event. Burning Man began in 1986 with 20
friends gathering at the end of summer on Baker Beach in San Francisco. They
built a wooden figure and lit it at the end of a ceremony. The ritual moved to
Nevada’s Black Rock Desert in 1990 after park police in San Francisco wouldn't
allow the fire and the event has grown in size since then.

According to a new study, reading “Fifty Shades of Grey” can be bad for young
women’s health. The study found a link between reading the books and behaviors
like eating disorders, binge drinking and being part of abusive relationships. The
study of 650 women between the ages of 18 and 24 found that women who read
the books were 25 percent more likely to be in verbally abusive relationships and
34 percent more likely to have had partners who exhibited stalker tendencies.
Perhaps even worse, 75 percent of women who read the book were reported to
have eating disorders. Women who reported having read all three novels in the
series were 65 percent more likely to binge drink six or more days a month.

THE WATERCOOLER 2…
For the second time this week, a U.S. passenger jet had to be diverted over a
reclining seat squabble. This time it was an American Airlines flight from Miami
to Paris that made an unscheduled stop in Boston after a 60-year-old French
passenger had a meltdown and grabbed a flight attendant who tried to calm him
down when the passenger in front of him reclined her seat. Two plain-clothes
federal air marshals happened to be on board and subdued and handcuffed the man.
Edmund Alexandre, of Paris, was charged with interfering with flight crew
members, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
A new study finds that Nashville is the most "American" U.S. metro area. The
study factored in such statistics as age, gender, income, education and race to
determine which metro areas are most and least like the American average. The
rest of the top five most American cities are Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Charleston,
South Carolina and Jacksonville. On the other end of the scale, the least American
cities were Yuma, Arizona, Brownsville, Texas, Altoona, Pennsylvania, Boulder,
Colorado, and McAllen, Texas.
The buzz from England is that 5,000 wasps made a giant nest in the bed of a
woman’s home there. The woman hadn’t been in the spare room of her 5-bedroom
home in months, but had left a window open. Her son was visiting when he opened
the door and discovered the 3ft wide by 1.5ft deep nest. Exterminator John Birkett
said it had been growing for several months and the nest was still expanding. The
wasps had even chewed through the mattress, but the exterminator was able to
rescue the beloved blanket on the bed.

Joplin, Missouri’s 30-year-old Dennis Meyer was found dead last week in a rural
driveway. Police say the body showed no visible signs of the cause of death and
that a drug overdose could have been to blame. However, the mystery of Meyer’s
death may soon be solved as police have arrested an unnamed 24-year-old woman
after she allegedly posted photos of herself posing with the body on Facebook.
Austin Ragans was enjoying his stay at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale until being
asked to leave the hotel’s bar. Austin returned to his 16th floor room and
proceeded to toss beer bottles and a chair from the balcony. The chair struck a
hotel employee below and when security paid a visit to Austin’s room they found
him completely naked and the room's chair missing. It’ll likely surprise no one that
a bag containing cocaine was found in plain sight, nor that Austin had previous
arrests in Florida, Texas and Arizona or that he now faces charges of aggravated
assault with a deadly weapon, battery, possession of cocaine and criminal mischief.

failed a field sobriety test and her blood alcohol was three times the legal limit.
Making matters worse for Jennifer, her 12-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son
were in the car at the time and it was her second DUI charge in less than two years.
