This file contains further ideas from William’s Words in Science;
page 3 has the fifty key words associated with the water cycle,
pages 4 & 5 are coloured diagrams, suitable for Powerpoint;
pages 6 & 7 are pupil versions of the coloured diagram on page 4;
page 8 is a word search, with the solution on page 9;
pages 10 & 11 are Sci Dokus (simple and tricky versions) with the solutions on page 12;
page 13 is a paper loop game that produces a picture frame – see page 14 for the solution;
page 15 Is a diy crossword – a method for getting every pupil to define at least 20 words!!

A major resource that should be in every room where Science is taught is William’s Words in
Science – the JARGON BUSTER
William’s Words has been an invaluable asset in the lab [independent school teacher]
It’s the best book I have bought this year [trainee-teacher from Northampton]
I bought William’s Words last year -it’s brilliant - I use it all the time [two teachers at ASE
2011]
This really is the book I have been waiting for as a KS2 and 3 teacher and as a tutor of Bachelor
of Education(B Ed) students [JBE 43 3]
