Parent Command Center
You can access your child’s progress (online) at any time through the Parent Command Center. There is a
link posted on the BHS homepage. Please share the password with your child.
Homework
will be assigned on a daily basis and is to be done at home and put in your
binder/notebook. Make sure all homework is clearly labeled with the page number and
problem numbers. I will answer all questions the next day. Occasionally homework will
be graded. Homework with only answers without supporting details will not be accepted.
SHOW ALL WORK!
Quizzes
can be given at any time to check for mastery of skills. These quizzes will be announced
ahead of time.
Tests
will be given periodically during the semester. They will be announced at the beginning
of the week. Tests will be designed not to take the entire period, so please be prepared to
work for the remaining time.
Class Starters
will be given at the beginning of the class period each day. Class starters are designed to
take about 5 minutes to complete. Quizzes will be given each week to check
understanding of class starters.
Make Up Work
Students must see the teacher to receive missed assignments upon returning to class after
the absence has occurred. This does not happen during class since class time is very
valuable. You will need to contact the teacher before/after class, during lunch, or after
school. The best policy is to e-mail me the day you are absent and I can forward your
work to you. This way, when you return, you will not be behind. Remember, it is YOUR
responsibility to make up missed work. I will NOT come looking for you.
I expect students to come to class prepared each and every day with materials, completed homework, and an
open mind. You can succeed in this class by attending every day, completing homework assignments, and
participating in class. If you are having any type of difficulty, ASK QUESTIONS! Questions pertaining to this
class are always welcomed and encouraged. If you need additional help after class, you may consult the
textbook, online tutorial videos, or class notes. Please make sure to ask me if anything is unclear or if you need
any help with homework. My door will ALWAYS be open for eager students looking for assistance!
Welcome and Good Luck !!!
