Directions:
1. Show students how to open the catalog and discuss the different types
of search options available to them. This activity is designed to use
the title search or the keyword search options.
2. Use any Curious George book to provide students an example of
where they will find what kind of animal is in the book. Explain the use
of the “Details” button. Students may have to look in the summary or
subject headings to find the answer.
3. Students can work individually or with a partner to complete the
crossword puzzle.
Assessment:

The student will contribute to discussion and complete the crossword
puzzle activity using the automated catalog to locate the answers to the
clues.

