This project involved 5 schools, which needed individual Lan networks and a wan
network to connect the schools. Each school had a Lan spanning over several classrooms
interconnected by a Gigabit Ethernet. In each school, the traffic from the access layer
switches (3524) was uplinked to aggregator switches (3508 G) which were stacked and
uplinked to the distribution switch (6006). The distribution switch was configured to
load balance the traffic and send it to the core router (3662) using two trunk links. The
core router (3662) also serves as a DHCP server for the particular location. The
provision for future interconnection of core routers on each school was also done using
ATM.
