JOB PROFILE
Job Title: Marketing Executive
Department: Marketing, Brand, Design and Print
Reporting to: Marketing Manager
Type: Fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Working hours: 35 hours per week, 09:30hrs to 17:30hrs, Monday to Friday.
Key Purpose of Role:
To develop and execute key marketing collateral to engage, recruit and retain MCC customers. In doing
so exceeding sales targets for all commercial areas of the Club including Tickets, Hospitality, Meetings &
Events and MCC Cricket Academy.
Main Tasks and Accountabilities:

To have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the diverse Lord’s offering in order to
effectively market the Ground.

Ensure the marketing plan is delivered to the key customer groups with targeted content across the
whole marketing mix.

Alongside the Marketing Manager, create original and inspiring marketing content for:
o Match Day tickets
o Meetings & Events
o Match Day Hospitality
o MCC Cricket Academy
o Retail (Lord’s and MCC Shop)
o Tours and Museum
o All other products and services MCC offer

As required, work within the Marketing Team to deliver the email marketing strategy and manage and
grow the Club’s customer database.

As part of the Marketing, Brand, Design and Print Team police and support the delivery of a
consistent brand identity.

Support the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager in the effective delivery of the Club’s
Customer Experience strategy.

To carry out any other reasonable request as directed by your manager.

Variations to Role on Major Match Days:



Attendance at all major match days, including weekends, and working extended hours as required.
General assistance with any aspects of ground operation and management as required.
Wearing of any required uniform.
Health & Safety:
 At all times to be responsible for the safety of yourself and others through adherence to Club (and
legal) safety rules and procedures.
 To be familiar with fire and evacuation procedures and to operate in any necessary or appropriate
capacity as Fire Warden.

Person Spec: Skills & qualifications, experience, attitudes/competencies:
Essential:
 2 years’ experience in a marketing role.
 High level of accuracy, attention to detail, dedication to and pride in work.
 Track record in delivering results.
 Excellent written and literacy skills.
 Organised, self-motivated and a team player.
 Customer focused.
 Commercially minded.
 Flexibility in working hours.
 IT literate, including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
Desirable:
 Some experience in copywriting, proof reading and creative writing
 Creative thinker.
 An interest in and/or experience in working for a premium brand and/or in the entertainment/ sport
industry including experience in brand activation at events is important.
 Confident in building relationships with multiple stakeholders.
 High standard of personal presentation.
 Experience in working with data
