The weather continued to treat us well, and we just managed 2 extra new ones compared to last
September.
There was a Chivas-Regal promotion that brought a nice mix of Airliners, but without doubt the
highlight of the month was our first registration from the Maldives when Dash 8 300 8Q-IAM
called in for fuel on its delivery flight.
On the 13th of the month runway 12/30 was re-designated 11/29 as the world continues to
wobble!

1st: September was off to a wild and windy start up here and we were back to busy with one new one to
start the month with a first visit from CL.604 N604CC.
2nd: One has to feel sorry for the passengers on our first new visit today who must have found it a bit
cramped. It was nearly half full, and I bet the ten pax fought for one of the 26 seats available on the A320
CS-TFY!!!! Our other new visitor was Samairs’ 737-476 OM-SDA would have been a lot happier as they
were visiting for the annual 'booze cruise', or more correctly a Chivas Regal / Pernod Ricard promotion
trip!!
3rd: Today brought us a new Ce 525B D-CEFD and very welcome, Ce 208B N208SA.
4th: Another busy day up here and the on-going Distillers promotion continues with a first visit from the
very splendid Hamburg Airways A319 D-AHHB and plain but very welcome CRJ-200ER D-ACRN which
is spending the night here. The Samair 737 OM-SDA was back again taking the first group back to
Budapest, while a Puma G-REDJ and S-92A G-CHYG were here for a spot of training; the latter was on
its 2nd visit.
5th: A slower day with interestingly a Bin Air Metro carrying passengers rather than mail bags! Here on its
8th visit is HB-VPA which remains the only CJ4 to have visited Inverness. I have included G-BZOG as I
believe it is on a charter and was seen in Gatwick yesterday and is off to Islay tomorrow.
6th: In the mix today was a first visit from Hawker 900XP G-KTIA.
7th: Arriving in weather more reminiscent of winter Gulfstream 550 M-USIC was on a first visit this
morning. Taking some of the "booze cruise" visitors back today was a first visit from Enter Air's B734 SPENH, which has been here before in 2001 as LN-BUF. Just as I was going to have a sneaky early finish
we clocked up another S-92A, LN-ONV which diverted in.
8th: A busy Sunday with two first visits from frames that have both visited in other lives. PC-12 M-YBLS
[176] has visited 6 times as VP-BLS, the last being 01.09.2010. Trinidad G-SAPM has visited at least
twice before as G-EWFN in 2001 & 2003.

9th: Bristow Helicopter’s new S-92A G-GALC visited today, clocking up another of the type for us!
10th: S-92A G-GALC returned for some more circuits and there was a varied selection of visitors although
nothing new. The North Apron is busy tonight with nine parked up staying over. It is my pleasure to report
that Baron G-RICK has finally returned home from Dundee and has not deserted us forever!
11th: A stunning day with no fewer than 4 new starting with another Chivers charter that was operated by
Travel Service B738 OK-TVX wearing "PRAGUE (Heart) YOU" fuselage titles. Falcon 7X OO-EJA arrived
from SKBO, not Skibo, but the ICAO code for Bogota! The third was XLS PH-JND, and last, but by no
means least a Canadian Twin, Cessna 340A C-FSLD. The two Belgian Citations OO-FPB and FPC were
here on their twice a year visit, and we ended the day with seven parked up!
12th: It was very slow today although there was one new to us being Cessna Conquest EI-DMG.
13th: A very busy day with no fewer than 5 Netjets that I believe brought competitors for a private golf
tournament at Skibo. A different Travel Air Slovakia 737-86N today to return the Prague visitors was OMTVR on a first visit. After a lot of coming and goings Falcon 2000EX N912MT arrived from Spain as our
2nd first visit of the day.
14th: Another day that attracted 5 Netjet aircraft and a third visit from S-92A G-GALC. There was a first
visit from Ce 525A D-IEKU, all in all another busy day here!
15th: There was me thinking it was 5 fruit & veg a day you had to have, but here it seems to be different
aircraft from Netjets with another 5 here today! Sadly none of the needed Falcon neither 7 X nor the
Global 6000s required was included. There was a second visit from Falcon 50 N703TM, but last visitor of
the day was a first, being Gulfstream IVSP N818ME.
16th: We didn't get our 5 a day today! The only interesting movements were a couple of visits by the
Police helicopter "POLICE 51" G-SPAO, not a common sight up here!
17th: Slowing down with nothing new. Rallye G-KHRE called wearing a 'Sky watch civil air patrol' sticker,
but it was mainly departures today. Gulf G.200 G-OIRP is back and night-stopping leaving us 4 on the
apron tonight.
18th: That was a better day with 3 second visits, the first being Gulf 5 N508QS which last visited 15th to
18th June 2006. Citation XL OO-FTS was here 06.10.07 and finally, although I have been hoping for an
Easyjet A320, they did send one that has made a previous visit on the 19th August last year, G-EZWB.
Falcon 7X F-WWUS did visit briefly on the 25th July when on delivery to Denmark, but tonight the all
brown aircraft was back with its Danish registration of OY-FWO for the first time.
19th: Unless someone can put us right we think Arrow G-GHRW was a first visit. It was registered before
my Inverness records start, but I believe it has not landed here before. Substituting for the early morning
mail flight Metro EC-JIP sat on the apron all day on its second visit. CRJ-200 D-ACRN is already here for
a second visit having only visited 2 weeks ago.
20th: Slow again, in fact most of the movements were early evening not bringing a lot!!
21st: Not a lot!
22nd: A steady spread out day with CS-DFS returning for the third day in a row. Nothing new and Ce 402
G-MAPP is in for the night while surveying in the area again.
23rd: Cessna 208B N208SA was back for its second visit going home to the USA and 125-900XP GEYUP was calling for the 2nd time but there was nothing new I am afraid!
24th: Just a GAMA ambulance!
25th: Better today and we even managed a first visit from Encore LN-IDC.
26th: Every day has got better this week, and we had three new to us today. Beech B350 N5888K called
for fuel on its way to the USA. As Encore LN-IDC was waiting to go, Excel SE-RIZ was arriving to NightStop for the first time. Sadly the best arrived after dark but will luckily be here in daylight as it looks to be
rather smart, AW.139 HB-ZUV took its place on the North Apron. Arriving very late was Netjet 125 CSDRI.
27th: Lots of comings and goings today, sadly nothing new.
28th: The number of Citation CJ4s that have visited Inverness doubled today when M-AZIA made its first
visit joining HB-VPA in that select group!!! Then it was a bit of a 'big jet" day with NJE sending Global
6000 CS-GLA on a first visit and Gulf 550s CS-DKF & J. Add to that GLEX XRS C-GDPF on just its
second visit and the landing fees were rolling in!!!
29th: The Agusta is certainly earning its keep and its itinerary included a run to Edinburgh today. In
Inverness the continuing pleasant weather saw a very brief first visit from Excel OH-RBX the frame of
which [560-5056] has called twice before as SE-RBX in 2005 and 2008.

30th: That was a splendid way to see September out with the first Maldives registered aircraft to visit, a
DHC-8-311 8Q-IAM on delivery to Maldivian. There was very little else going on, but that made up for an
otherwise quiet day in lovely sunshine!

frame has visited with a different registration previously. A registration in a yellow box indicates that is the
first visit of that aircraft, and if in purple, a first visit of type.

There were two more S-92As added this month LN-ONV and G-GALC, the latter having only been
registered on the second of this month with the registration recognising the birth of the new prince, GALC
= George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. The very splendid AW.139 HB-ZUV was acting as a taxi to and
from an estate at Ben Alder. It was interesting to note the cable cutters fitted above and below the cockpit
capable of cutting wires up to 5mm diameter. I was told this was a necessary requirement when flying
around Switzerland due to the multitude of telephone and power cables about!

That was the best month for biz jets this year with no fewer than 84 different aircraft calling. Netjets were
having a field day as they supplied 35 of those aircraft including both of their Global 6000s! There was
also our second Citation CJ4 with a visit from M-AZIA, the other HB-VPA also called this month. A first
visit by Global 6000 (XRS) CS-GLA meant that both current aircraft operated by Netjets Europe have now
visited.
OH-RBX Ce 560XL [560-5056] was last here as SE-RBX 23.06.2006.
OY-FWO Falcon 7X [198] visited when on its delivery flight as F-WWUS 25.07.2013.

A splendid month with thanks to a Chivers-Regal promotion for bringing most of the aircraft but the
A320CJ CS-TFY was not part of this. Without doubt the movement of the month for all categories was our
first visit of an aircraft registered in the Maldives when Dash Eight 8Q-IAM stopped for fuel on its delivery
flight to Maldivian.

BOND HELICOPTERS
SCOTTISH AMBULANCE SERVICE / NORTHERN LIGHTHOUSE BOARD
The based EC.135T2 is operated by Bond Helicopters with the callsign “HLE (Helimed) 2”. Bond
Helicopters also operate EC.135T2s for the Northern Lighthouse Board using “RHD (Redhead 12)”
callsign and although Inverness is designated as the base for G-CGPI it doesn’t seem to be here much!
Bond operates from a small base by the control tower.

G-MAFA (DCT 03) & G-MAFB (DCT 04) operated on behalf of QinteQ and I have recently learnt that both
are now based at Cranfield but are expected to operate out of Benbecula. G-MAFA was last here
09.08.2013 and G-MAFB back on 07.05.2013.

Using the callsign “ENDURANCE” with 3-letter ICAO code ‘REV’, they seem to be back in residence.
There was next to no movement with the F406 G-TURF “REV 406” replaced by C404 G-EXEX ‘REV 404’
swapped on the 4th living in hangar 3.
