during period 3 (blk 3) and November 20th during the lunch hour.

WELCOME! Workshop will take place in room 101.
Anyone that would like a cup of organic “Buckbrush Tea”
please come to room 101 with a mug. BC 1st Nations studies
students along with Ab. Ed. students harvested the “indian tea”
last week. The tea is ready for anyone to sample (staff and
students alike). Elders indicate that this tea has been used since
time immemorial. It is considered medicine that is great for the
soul and can help combat the common cold.
OCT 31st is the last day to sign up for the farmbag
fundraiser. www.localmotive.ca is the place to go to sign up &
Pen Hi is the group to choose. The produce is beautiful and the
majority is organic. Consider signing up today & support the Pen
High Greenhouse project while you eat healthfully.
Attention Gr. 12 students: on Monday, November 3rd, a
representative from the University of Alberta will be at PenHigh. The presentation will take place in the counselling office
from 1:00-1:45pm. Bring your lunch and a friend, and learn about
the programs that the U of A has to offer. Mrs. Grant

COMPUTER CONSENT FORMS – Remember to get your signed
computer consent forms into the office ASAP. Students without
this form completed and handed in to the office will be removed
from having access to computers immediately. If you are unsure
if your form is in, come and ask in the office!

PHOTO RETAKE DAY: In order to have your photo taken on
re-take day (November 5th), you MUST pick up a retake order
form from the office. This form must be completed; payment
included, and handed to the photographer on retake day. The
only exception to this would be if you (a) were absent on the
original photo day and have not yet had your photo taken or (b)
you have not yet had your photo taken and do not wish to
purchase a photo package but would like a student ID card and
want your photo to appear in the yearbook.
Attention grade 11 & 12 students…our first SMOKING
CESSATION meeting of the year will be held Thursday
November 6th during lunch. Please sign up in the counselling
area. There will be pizza! Meet in the conference room in the
office. See you then!
Attention all Grade 11 Aboriginal Students: on Thursday,
November 6th during the lunch hour, grade 11 Aboriginal
students are encouraged to attend a brief, yet important meeting.
We will discuss academic and cultural opportunities available to
students in the Aboriginal program. Free pizza!! Please see Mr.
Hyde or Mrs. Stephens in room 101 to get additional information
and confirm your spot at the luncheon.
Pen-High Lakers Clothing is now on sale online! There are
two sites, one for school spirit wear, and one for Athletic teams.
Mr. Grant will have sizes to try on in the P.E. office sometime
during the week.

Pen-High is looking for an energetic and charismatic student
to wear the Lakers Mascot for the Cross City Volleyball Game
on November 12. If you think you have what it takes to be our
school mascot, please see Mr. Boxall or Mr. Gunning.
CRAZY SWEATER DAY – Friday, November 7th. There will be
a box outside the office where you can bring in old clothes for
donation all week November 3rd to 7th.
Attention all grade 11 and 12 Aboriginal Students: UBC
Okanagan is hosting their annual open campus tour and
information session on November 10th.
Lunch is included.
