Introduction
This course will take the student through some concepts that need careful attention.
There is a lot more analysis in this course then in Accounting I. The student should be
thoroughly prepared for every class meeting.
Although this is a beginning course, this should not be considered a justification for the
student not to want to learn or not willing to learn. Education for all serious students
should be highly regarded. This class will be taught with the up most regard for each
individual’s education.
Remember there is NO SUCH THING, AS I CAN’T.
Grading
Every student has the potential of getting an “A” in this class. Those who work hard will
succeed in doing just that. Therefore, the grading system will NOT be based on a curve.

How to Pass
The student needs to be prepared before beginning the class. This means chapter read

to fail. All work to be turned-in for a grade MUST be turned-in on time; every day after
scheduled time will result in 5 points penalty. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Make-up Work
No make-up work will be allowed. This includes ALL written assignments to be turned-in
for a grade, as well as tests, project, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Cheating
It is the policy of East Los Angeles College that plagiarism or misrepresenting owns on
work are grounds for permanent expulsion. This is true in this classroom as well.
Except this class takes cheating during an exam and puts it into the same category. In
other words, NOT ALLOWED.
Projects
Forever Furniture; A mock company for which the student will have to analyze
transactions, categorize those transactions, post the transactions, prepare financial
statements and close the books for the month through a computer program. The
instructions for this assignment will be given the first day of class and the project is due
on December 05, 2013. (All students must complete this before they can take the final
exam).
