Student Handout
As an expert on your assigned colony, you will create a webpage that addresses
the following questions:
1.
Name of the Colony
2.
Date Founded
3.
Who was the founder of the colony?
4.
What were the economic characteristics of the colony? (How did they make
money?)
5.
What was the predominant religion?
6.
What Government was established in the colony? (Describe how the
government worked)
7.
Why did the founders leave Europe to find the colony? (What was so
appealing that people made the journey from England to the colony?)
Your presentation should reflect the colony in the following ways:
 All of the key ideas are covered.
 The information must be accurate and all words should be spelled
correctly.
 At least ten visuals should accompany the written aspects; these may be
from the computer or drawn by hand (scanned).
 It should be neat, colorful, and visually appealing.
