MARKETING MANAGER POSITION
A pet loving advertising and marketing professional will find great challenge and rewards in this exceptional
opportunity with ANIMART’s Pet Division. This newly created position will be responsible for many facets of
marketing within the ANIMART Pet Division team. This person will play an integral role in understanding all
aspects of the pet division and developing marketing strategies to meet departmental and company goals.
Responsibilities include development and management of consumer marketing programs including website,
direct mail, brochures, displays, signage, events, newspaper, television, and radio.
Degree in marketing or related field with experience and a passion for pets preferred. Must be a creative
thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strategies, implement plans, lead
change, and get results.
TITLE: Marketing Manager
DEPARTMENT: Pet Division
REPORTS TO: Lisa Lasack
OBJECTIVE
 To increase awareness, market share and sales
 Grow customer base and sales through creating strategies and communicating superior image and value
 To play an integral role in understanding all aspects of the pet division and developing marketing
strategies with other staff to meet departmental and company goals
RESPONSIBILITIES
 Develop cost effective marketing plans with department heads to reach sales goals
 Create flyers, email blasts, direct mail pieces, brochures, newspaper ads and support materials
 Play a central role in social marketing, keeping Facebook, Twitter, the Blog and website up-to-date and
engaging.
 Improve website communications and sales
 Develop and determine value and effectiveness of advertising campaigns – newspaper, radio, television,
local magazines
 Organize Animart events, promotions, community events, and sponsorships
 Coordinate opportunities with product vendors, manufacturers and marketing venues
 Enhance Animart image with improved customer communications, community/public relations and press
releases
o Speaking engagements
o Participation in community organizations
 Work with staff on overall store image, merchandising, displays, signage and outstanding customer
service
 Conduct market research and analysis
 Manage customer database information, track sales and traffic, and log successes
SKILLS
 Marketing and/or marketing communications experience
 Degree in marketing/communications or related field
 Working knowledge, understanding and interest in companion animals
 Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
 Excellent written and oral communication skills
 Proficient computer skills in areas of word processing, data management and basic graphic design
(InDesign, Photoshop)

 This position is responsible for Madison and Beaver Dam WI locations
