Activity: Photosynthesis Diagram

Complete the following on the piece of paper provided:
1. At the top of the paper, write the summative equation for photosynthesis (BIG).
2. Draw a large plant in the middle of the paper. Make sure to include the basic components of the plant
(roots, trunk, leaves).
3. Create a “zoom window” into one of the leaves drawn. In that window, draw and label the
components of a chloroplast. Make sure to include the following: stroma, pigment, thylakoid, and
grana. Use the diagram below as an example:
4. Add the process of the light dependent reaction to your diagram. Use your notes for assistance. Make

5. Add the process of the Calvin cycle to your diagram. Use your notes for assistance. Make sure to

6. Make sure that you add color to the diagram and that it is neat and organized.
