Job Description:
The Regional Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the marketing
efforts of the region. This is a strong communications position where you work
cross functionally with both operations and marketing. Working with the Regional
Director of Operations and the CSO Director of Marketing, you help set the
direction for region-wide marketing initiatives and plans. You also work with the
other Regional Marketing Managers and the Field Marketing team to calibrate on
centralized company marketing plans and initiatives.
Grassroots, local relationship marketing is the foundation of our strategy and our
culture at Noodles & Company. Our overall marketing strategy is focused on
doing a few things well: a) getting people to know us b) getting people to try our
food c) getting people to come back more often and d) getting people to bring in
their friends. It's pretty simple. And effective.
Primary Duties
 Educate, lead, and inspire from 30,000 feet to ground level on all
Marketing, Brand, and Sales building initiatives.
 Lead, develop, and coach, the Field Marketing Managers (FMM) to
execute marketing strategies for individual markets that are in line with the
regional and company vision/direction.
 Develop marketing tools for the region that support the national vision.
 Effectively analyze LRM tactics with Regional Financial Consultant to
determine effectiveness.
 Lead trade area definition and advise specific LRM tactics to drive traffic
and repeat visits from inside and outside restaurants.
 Develop and monitor inspired training by FMM's to all new operators.
 Manage regional budget with respect to marketing plan and seasonality.
 Oversee creation and execution of new restaurant opening plans,
including pre-opening events and follow up with FMM 30/60/90 days post
opening success.
 This Regional position also includes the field marketing leadership of 10 to
15 restaurants, in addition to regional leadership responsibilities.
Desired Skills and Experience









Proven restaurant marketing and/or advertising experience in a growing
brand, ideally 5-7 years. Experience in several different restaurant
concepts, especially fast casual concepts and/or an operations
background a plus.
Marketing and advertising knowledge with a proven understanding of all
facets of media: the costs, the uses, the creative and its effectiveness.
Understanding of print, radio, direct mail, PR and Social Media.
Demonstrated experience in grassroots marketing. Knowledge of how to
create it, how to make it work and how to make it the core of the brand.
Proven management experience, including supervising multiple people
within a field organization.
Able to develop creative promotions and understand how to make them
work and how to manage the many details.
Strong verbal and written communication that builds solid, professional
internal and external relationships.
Computer proficiency, including MS office suite.
Understand and love food.
Have the ability to travel 20-30% of the time.
Salary: $60-75K
