Marketing 101 – Key Questions For Clients

These are key exploratory questions to be asked face-to-face with clients looking for help with marketing. Answers will help clarify issues, discover informational needs, and identify steps forward.

1.

What product or products do you want to market?

2.

What would be different about the products compared to others in the marketplace?

3.

Who would be your main customers for these products? Households, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.?

4.

What benefits would your products have for these customers? What needs would the products satisfy?

5.

What is the geographic trade area for your customers?

6.

What distribution options are you considering?
