As a research assistant responsibilities vary depending on the project assigned to you, some
of which may include:




Literature searches utilizing PsychInfo or PubMed for Meta-Analysis projects.
Organize, code, and catalogue articles for retrieval that will be used to address certain
research questions.
Support graduate students with data management.
Serve as trained raters on projects that involved the assessment of global communication
patterns of physicians and patients.
The required time commitment is 6+ hours/week and most students continue in our lab for at
least 3 quarters. Research assistants also have the option to register for 1-4 credits per
quarter, either S/NC or for a letter grade depending on class standing. If you are interested,
