BOSS Decommission
Effective Q1 FY16, the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program
area will be decommissioned in ACRRO. As of that time, BOSS Garrison program
information will only be entered in the BOSS Event Publisher tool. However, BOSS
Q4 FY15 Program information will be available in the Baseline Standards tool for
review through close of the Q4 FY15 reporting period.
Historical data from Q1 FY11 to Q4 FY15 will remain available from the BOSS
program area via the generate reports feature in ACRRO. Requests for data
outside this period will generate a blank report. For additional information,
please contact the G9 BOSS Program Staff.

FY16 Aquatics Staffing Authorization Changes
IAW TB Med 575 and AR 215-1, the staffing calculation for Aquatics Programs will
be updated in FY16. The new calculation will take two variables into account –
Bather Load and Pool Square Footage. Behind the scenes, ACRRO will calculate
the authorization for each variable and automatically use the greater of the two.
The pool lane range options will also change for as follows:

Additionally, a General Information question “Do you have an L-shaped pool?”
will be added. The answer will be either yes or no. The question will not currently
drive resources, but may in the future upon further evaluation.

New Report Filters for ACRRO Reports
Multi-garrison users who are Program Managers or Community Rec Directors,
now have the ability to view rollup reports which include all installations
belonging to that garrison as well as view reports based on their user access
location.

The DoD MWR Library Standards Assessment
The DoD MWR Library Standards Assessment will be
open for input from 1 October 2015 through
16 November 2015. Two new features were added
this year. The first is the ability to view the previous
year’s answers along side the current fiscal year.
The other is a justification window for any question
that is answered “No” or for which the current fiscal
year answer does not match the prior fiscal year
answer.

2015 Awards for Excellence in Army Recreation
Launch and Updates
The ACRRO Recreation Awards Tool will be open
for nominations for the 2015 Awards for
Excellence in Army Recreation from 1 October
2015 through 30 November 2015. The Garrison
submission deadline to Regions is 30 November
2015. Regions will review, select, and forward
submissions to HQ for consideration beginning
1 December 2015, and will close on 15
December 2015.
A new award category, Individual Program
Award, has been added to the list of Recreation
Awards. The Individual Program Award
recognizes outstanding individual programs
providing diverse recreational opportunities and
quality service, as well as new, innovative, and
customer focused programs.
