First incision
Begin just inferior of the cervical region
Proceed medially and ventrally down the thoracic area.
Be superficial at first
Later, deepen the incision
At the umbilical region, proceed around the umbilicus in
a circular fashion.
• Don’t complete the most posterior part of the circle. May
sever the penis!!
• From the mid ventral incision, at the axillary regions,
proceed laterally
• From the mid ventral incision, make 2 sets of lateral cuts
in the upper and lower abdominal regions
