Parts of a circle
circumference
The boundary line or
perimeter of a circle.
centre
The point inside the circle
which is the same distance
from all points on
the circumference.
radius
The distance from the
middle of the circle to the
circumference of the circle.
diameter
The distance across a
circle through the centre
(twice the radius).
chord
A line segment that joins
two points on the
circumference, but not
passing through the centre.
