Finally, a solution to heat and fading that won’t spoil a beautiful view
The superior light transmitting qualities of Smart Films has made it the preferred choice of
architects and interior designers. The ClearView range of spectrally selective films has taken
Smart Films’ cutting-edge technology to the next level. The Smart Films ClearView range
comprises five films: ClearView ICE 70, ClearView ICE 60 and ClearView 75 LHA are clear
(untinted) films; ClearView Blue and ClearView Green have a faint blue or green hue.
ClearView ICE 60 is the high performer in the range blocking over 99% of the damaging
ultraviolet (UV) and 58% of the heat while not noticeably affecting the view or the amount of
light entering the room. In fact, the ClearView clear films are almost invisible to the eye
when applied to glass.
The ClearView 75 LHA (Low Heat Absorption) has been specifically designed for tinted
and/or laminated glass often used in commercial building and residential apartments to
reduce the risk of thermal stress (glass breakage) which can occur with some window films
on these types of glass.
DH (the owner of "The Shores" unit) said:
“We would like to unreservedly thank you
for helping us to see our first summer
through with comfortable temperatures
(12C less) whilst not being aware of any
difference to our windows & the lovely
unaltered view we enjoy by day & night”

night.
to achieve “see-through” visibility into a shop front or display while protecting
furnishings, fabrics, and stock against fading.
The Clearview Blue and Clearview Green films is ideal for beach front apartments or pool
side settings to enhance the natural surroundings and bring out the best results for that type of
environment.
My home has tinted glass
Tinted glass blocks about 35% of the heat. Smart Films ClearView ICE 60 blocks 58% of the
heat and can be applied to tinted glass to achieve significant heat reduction, without making
the room feel darker.
My home is air-conditioned - You can save energy and the environment
Smart Films ClearView ICE 60 will reduce the heat load on your air conditioner. This will
reduce your electricity bill and because you consume less energy you help reduce greenhouse
gases which cause global warming.
My body corporate won’t allow window tinting
Smart Films ClearView 75 LHA won’t change the appearance of the building and has been
approved by many body corporates including “The Shores” at Southport and “Reflection on
the Sea” at Coolangatta
How do Smart Films Work?
Smart Films are made from exotic metals that exhibit unique spectral qualities at the
molecular level, such as gold, silver nitride and titanium oxide, amongst others. Through the
application of nanotechnology, Smart Films are created to block the invisible spectrum
(infrared and ultraviolet (UV)) and allow the visible light to pass through. Compared with
conventional window tinting films that cannot distinguish between the visible light we want
in our home and the heat and UV we want to keep out, the Smart Films ClearView range is a
revolutionary solution to heat and fading.
Smart Films ClearView is an optically clear, spectrally selective, polyester based glass
coating that is applied to the interior glass surface. It is backed by a lifetime residential and
10 year commercial warranty. Smart Films are made in the USA.
