Felden Lodge Conference & Training Centre is set in 32 acres of peaceful
grounds on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead. As well as running as a
successful conference venue Felden Lodge is also the UK Headquarters of
The Boys’ Brigade.
We are located within easy access of the M1 and M25 motorways and only
a 25 minute train journey into Central London.

Conferencing
We are able to provide a wide range of conference facilities for up to 60 delegates. There are a variety of
rooms available for groups to hire and they will be set up as per your requirements. Included within the
packages we offer is all the equipment that is required for your event to run smoothly. This includes:

Conference Rooms
The ‘Lounge’ is situated on the ground floor at the front of the house. This room is ideal as the main
meeting room for residential groups due to it’s layout and relaxed feel.
The remaining conference rooms are on the first floor of the main house and consists of 3 rooms that can
be hired altogether or separately depending on your requirements. The spacious Lecture Room is an ideal
venue for larger conferences and meetings, with our Conference Room being an ideal meeting room and
the Small Group Room perfect for a breakout room, small meetings or interviews.
Throughout the site we have other rooms and spaces suitable for meetings of various sizes, please do not

Felden Lodge has a total of 51 beds available to hire for residential groups
and overnight conferences. There are 24 twin rooms and 3 single rooms.
All of our rooms are en-suite with a shower.
As part of the residential package we provide in each room:

Our Dining room is able to seat up to 60 guests comfortably.
We offer a variety of menus that can be discussed with the kitchen team
prior to your arrival. As part of your booking we offer a choice of a two

For those people who are residents at Felden Lodge a self service
continental breakfast is provided from the Dining Room. A cooked
breakfast can be arranged at an extra cost. Please discuss this option when
making your enquiry.
We are able to cater for most special diets, provided we are notified prior
to your visit.
Local Attractions
There are lots of local attractions and places to visit to cater for every
taste within easy reach of Felden. Being so close to London, many guests
take the opportunity to visit whilst staying here with us. Other local attractions include Ice Skating, Swimming, Bowling, Cinema, Activity Centres,
Go Ape and The Snow Centre. Our experienced team are here to help
should you need any help with choosing where you could visit, or finding
out what local attractions there are nearby.

Coffee Lounge
This newly refurbished area is available throughout your stay at Felden Lodge. A
pleasant area to chat and relax with those accompanying you. It can be used as a
break out area for groups booking sole use of the House.
During your stay refreshments are served from this area with a selection of drinks
and homemade cakes or biscuits.
The Chapel
The Chapel is available 24 hours a day and is an ideal place for worship or quiet
times of prayer and reflection. We are able to provide:

The Sports Hall is available for hire either as part of a day conference, residential or
camping group. It may also be hired separately. We are able to provide facilities and
equipment for a variety of activities including:

Our flood-lit all weather pitch is available for groups to use as part of their stay at
Felden Lodge and can be hired separately by Football Teams and other groups.
5 a side goals are included as part of the price.

There is also a barbeque available to hire for an additional cost.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Day Bookings
DEPOSITS/CANCELLATION
All bookings are initially provisional and will be held for 14 days from the date of the initial booking, if no correspondence, eg completed Function
Accommodation Booking Form or email, is received in this time it will be assumed that the booking is no longer required.
Verbal confirmation is not acceptable.
Should cancellation occur 8 to 21 days before the date of the course/seminar/event, a cancellation fee of £100 will be invoiced.
Where final invoice would have been less than £100 a charge of 25% will be made.
Cancellation within 3 - 7 days of the event will incur 50% cost and cancellation within 48 hours will incur full cost.
BOOKING
An estimate of numbers attending is required at time of booking. Any significant changes in these numbers to be notified to Centre Manager as soon
as
possible. Final numbers should be communicated one week prior to course/seminar/event date(s). These numbers will be used for compiling the final
invoice unless numbers increase in which case the greater number will be used for invoicing.
Where there are individually designed packages, these will be confirmed in writing.
The Centre reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking at anytime.
Residential Bookings
DEPOSITS
All bookings are initially provisional. Within 14 days of the provisional booking being made an invoice for a non refundable deposit of £200 will be
issued.
The balance of fees will be invoiced after your stay and will be due for payment within 14 days.
CANCELLATION
Should cancellation occur 3 to 6 months prior to dates booked 50% of estimated final invoice will be charged. Within 1 - 3 months the charge increases to 75%
and within 28 days the full amount will be charged.
BOOKING

Where numbers are 50 or above then that group will have use of the following rooms; Lounge, Conference Room, Lecture Room and Small Group
Room.
Where groups are less than 49 in number, use of rooms will be restricted to allow for other groups to also use the facilities.
Where there are individually designed packages, these will be confirmed in writing.
There is a single room supplement of £12.00 (up to March 2010) per person per night.
The Centre reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking at any time with the deposit refunded in full.
General Information
CONDUCT
All persons attending the course/seminar/event shall be the responsibility of person named on the booking form. The organiser is responsible for
ensuring that
all members of group conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
Please leave all dirty footwear & wet weather clothes outside the front door or in the entrance hall only.
Child protection procedures must be adopted by groups working with young people.
The Centre reserves the right to charge for any damage to property or normally unnecessary cleaning bills as a result of poor conduct shown by persons using
the facilities.
No activity will be undertaken which will place any person in danger or which will create a hazard to health and safety of other users.
Care is to be taken with all furniture & equipment belonging to Felden and if moved or borrowed must be put back in the same place or returned to
the office
before departure.
SPORTS CENTRE
Block Bookings: One weeks notice is required for cancellation or current hourly rate will be invoiced to address on application form.
Block bookings: One or more no shows may result in the block booking being cancelled thereafter.
Only suitable footwear will be worn within the Sport Centre and All Weather Surface.
No activity will be undertaken which will place any person in danger or which will create a hazard to health and safety of other users.
The setting up and dismantling of equipment will be undertaken during the booking period.
Operating times are 9am – 10pm only.
Felden Lodge reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking at any time.
LIABILITY
The Boys’ Brigade is not responsible for the safety, loss or damage to personal belongings and suitable arrangements should be made by the owner to

The Thurso Centre
The Thurso Centre is the ideal venue offering facilities that provides a fantastic venue for groups to offer
an affordable self catering residential experience for children, young people and adults alike.
From Churches, Schools, Clubs to uniformed organisations this centre is ideal for weekend or weeks away when you want
to do your own thing and the freedom of cooking when you want to etc.
Accommodation
The Thurso has a total of 26 beds comprising of:
 3 bedrooms sleeping 4 persons on bunk beds
 1 bedroom sleeping 5 persons on a single bed & bunks
 1 bedrooms sleeping 2 persons on bunk beds
 1 bedrooms sleeping 2 persons on single beds
 1 bedroom sleeping 3 persons on single bed & bunk

 Kitchen – fully equipped ( you just need to bring your food!)

The centre can also be used to complement canvas camping or in addition to accommodation in the main house, enabling larger groups
to stay at Felden Lodge.
