Manufacturing Manager
The Manufacturing Manager will build, lead and manage production with responsibility of directing,
planning, and administering production activities in UV LED production line. He/she will provide technical
leadership to team of engineers and technicians in all phases of production TO and SMD LED packaging.
Responsibilities:
•
Responsible for managing production activities for on-time delivery, maximizing cycles of learning,
quality, and safety of production processes.
•
Responsible for managing production engineers and technicians to maximize production
throughput, and minimize cycle time.
•
Provide direction and support for all work shifts, establish work schedules and assignments as
necessary.
•
Drive cost initiatives, efficiency gains, process improvements, proper labor utilization, and
improvements in yield and reliability.
•
Address employee concerns, resolve problems, train, coach and discipline employees and make
recommendations for correct sizing.
•
Be the owner of material cost (direct and in-direct) for process flow.
•
Keep inventory of all direct/indirect materials to ensure minimum inventory levels while ensuring
no interruptions in production activities
•
Interact with Sales, QA/QC, Engineering, and R&D to maintain quality standards, full product
documentation and implement new products in very fast paced environment
•
Maintains ISO:9100 and AS9001 processes and procedures
•
Report to the Sr Director of Device Group
Required Qualifications:
•
BS in a technical discipline
•
Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in a clean room/fab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Work experience in semiconductor/LED packaging industry
•
Prior work experience managing production engineers and technicians
•
Experience with SPC, Lean manufacturing, and/or six sigma and other quality methodologies is
highly desirable
•
Excellent collaborative communication skills
