Job Description
Our research group in Cork is looking for top PhD and Master’s degree students interested in working on
research projects investigating the challenges of developing the next generation data centres. The research
focus areas include
Cloud security and privacy,
Software-defined data centres
- Cyber protection of critical infrastructures
- Advanced data communication networks
Essential Skills and Experience
-
Strong programming skills with a solid understanding of object oriented languages and principles;
solid hands on coding with a modern programming language, C++, C#, Java, Ruby or Python.
Good analytical and design skills; a natural curiosity to go beneath the surface of a problem.
Strong interest in research and implementation; demonstrated capability to work on leading edge
technology
Ambition to transform and integrate research outcomes into solutions
Good communications and interpersonal skills; is very comfortable interacting with technical peers
to discuss technology
High energy levels and self-motivating
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or any closely
related fields. Must be currently pursuing a post-graduate degree, Masters or PhD.
Excellent spoken and written English.
