ELIGIBILITY: This tournament is open to: current and retired members of the ANG, their spouses and immediate family
members over 18; current and former Air Force Advisors of the ANG, their spouses, and immediate family members over 18;
and current and retired employees of the ANG, their spouses and immediate family members over 18.
ENTRY: All teams will consist of five bowlers. Bowlers entered in doubles must also enter singles and vice versa. Doubles will be
scheduled to follow singles automatically. Team and Doubles lineups will be arranged in order on entry form. No rearranging of
the lineup after submission is allowed. State/Unit Coordinator must validate eligibility, proper spelling of names and averages
of participants. State/Unit Coordinator will consolidate and submit entries for that state/unit.
SUBSTITUTES AND MULTIPLE PARTICIPATION: If in any event a scheduled bowler is unable to participate, the team captain
shall have the right to substitute a bowler, provided the substitute has not already entered in that event. All substitutes must
be identified at least two hours prior to the scheduled event. An individual may bowl in each event one time, unless an
exception is granted by the tournament director. A bowler’s first appearance in any event will count towards their All Events
score. Individuals will not be allowed to receive cash or prizes more than once in any event.
AVERAGES Average Codes: (A) - 2014-2015 Final (B) - 31 December 2015 (C) - 2013-2014 Final (D) - Other (please specify). All
averages are based off of 21 or more games. Bowlers who do not meet any of the listed requirements will receive an average
of 165 for men and 140 for women. Select your appropriate average code following these guidelines: (A) Bowlers will use
their highest 2014-2015 USBC sanctioned league average, as recorded in their local association records and certified by the
team captain. If the entrant’s 31 December 2015 average is 10 pins or higher than the 2014-2015 average, the 31 December
2015 average will be used. (B) Bowlers with no previous USBC season average will use their highest current USBC winter
season average, as of 1 January 2016. (C) Bowlers with no previous USBC season average or 1 January 2016 average will use
their highest recorded USBC, youth or collegiate division sanctioned current average. (D) Other; (1) Bowlers with no average
last season, no 1 January 2016 average and no current average who will have an average before the tournament, shall report
their current average to the tournament directors before bowling in each event. (2) Bowlers without an established average
may submit an average from a non-sanctioned league, verified by that league’s secretary, in accordance with the guidelines
above for a sanctioned average. (3) Bowlers may use their last established average from the ANG Bowling Tournament if nine
games or more were bowled in a single tournament over the past three years. Bowlers must submit actual tournament scores.
(4) Any bowler who has only a USBC Sport Bowling average must submit and use their adjusted Sport Bowling average, utilizing
the USBC Average Adjustment Scale located at bowl.com.
HANDICAP: Each bowler shall receive a handicap of 80 percent of the difference between their average and 210 pins in each
event entered.
PRIZES Team, Double and Single events will be paid with a ratio of at least 1:10. All Events will be paid with a ratio of at least
1:20. 100 percent of prize fees will be awarded.
FEES Bowling Lineage - $8.00 per event; Prize - $8.00 per event; contribution to ANG Bowling Museum - $.25 per event; Other
Expenses - $11.75 per event; All Events - $3.00. All fees must accompany the entry form and be received prior to closing date
of entries.
ALL EVENTS Entry is optional. To qualify, a bowler must enter all three events. Scores are based on the culmination of the
handicap series scores.
OFFICIAL RULES Tournament rules can be found in the Constitution and By-Laws of the Air National Guard Bowling Association.
PAYMENT: Payment can be made by personal check, money order or by bank draft/cashier’s check. Credit cards are not
accepted. Returned checks will be accessed a $25.00 fee or the current rate from US Bank Springfield, Illinois, at the time of
the tournament, and must be paid before the team/individual can bowl.
