ARIZONA ASSOCIATION OF CERTIFIED FRAUD EXAMINERS

CFE Exam Completion Incentive Grant

2016 APPLICATION

The Arizona Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is committed to providing financial assistance to our membership for continuing education and professional development efforts (“Grant”). Each year, a certain amount of money will be allocated for use towards these endeavors. The intent of the Grant is to assist our members with their individual out-of-pocket expenses, not to replace entity funding (no reimbursement will be made to any public agency or private company).

The Arizona Chapter is pleased to offer a CFE Exam Completion Incentive Grant to chapter members who have successfully completed and passed the CFE exam. The reimbursement will allow a newly certified CFE the opportunity to be reimbursed for a portion ($500) of the prep course and exam fee. Applications will be accepted from January 12, 2016 through midnight on March 31, 2016.

Anyone who does NOT already have their CFE professional certification is eligible for the Incentive Grant.

The Grant process is competitive and awards will be made at the discretion of the Grant Committee based on justification and merits of each application. To be eligible for the CFE Exam Completion Grant, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

Must be a member in good standing with the Arizona ACFE chapter and the National Association.

Submit an original, typed essay of at least 300 words explaining how obtaining the ACFE certification is relevant to their professional career development. In addition, the applicant should list their personal and/or professional goals and how this grant will help them achieve them.

Submit a list of expenses incurred to become a CFE.

Submit a copy of the congratulations letter from the ACFE, which should state that the applicant has passed the CFE Examination, specifying that the award applicant has met all ACFE requirements to become a Certified Fraud Examiner, and providing their new CFE professional certification number granted by the ACFE.

Submit a written statement certifying they have not, and will not, be otherwise reimbursed for CFE.

The recipient of this Chapter Reimbursement Grant will be announced at the April training event
