Penn State Extension Montgomery County is seeking applicants for a Nutrition
Education Adviser to be responsible for providing community nutrition education.
Position includes teaching healthful food selection, meal planning, food
preparation, and shopping skills to adults and youth in limited resource
neighborhoods in Norristown and surrounding areas. High school diploma or
equivalent required plus interest in nutrition or food preparation helpful (no
bachelor degrees, please). Must be able to carry supplies (up to 30 pounds), hold a
valid driver’s license and travel with community being served. Some computer
literacy necessary. Additional responsibilities include recruiting target groups and
working independently. Starting salary is dependent on experience and education
level 1 salary is $20,664. Level 2 salary is $23,136.
